Kane’s pov
I hurried home after work so I can clean up then head over to Brantley’s before Rayne got there. When she called and told me about the puppy, I almost said see you tonight. She didn’t know I was the one she was seeing on her blind date.
I wondered if she would be happy it was me. She was incredible. To dang sexy for her own good. The fact that she was a vet was even more of a plus. I loved animals.
I was really hoping no one claimed the puppy. At least having him would mean I didn’t come home to an empty house anymore. I was exhausted, and lonely. All I had is work so I threw myself into it. I really wanted to settle down and have a family.
I got to Brantley’s and he said she wasn’t here yet. So, we went out to the grill and I helped him cook the food. Brantley
