Alex sat across from Gena in her apartment, watching her nurse their newest baby. She and Iris had both made it clear when Caela was born three years ago that they preferred him and Etan to just be honest about it instead of pretending not to look, then sneaking glances. Neither of them saw any reason on earth why they shouldn’t watch such a lovely thing as feeding their babies.
Alex and Etan couldn’t possibly have agreed more.
Gena held Connor to her left breast, eyes closed, rocking slightly. The sun caught her blonde hair as she shifted.
