Tables have turned.
As the wind sings and blows against Lucien's fur, his body can't help but shiver with temperature of the ending part of the year.
As much as Lucien is fascinated about the view in front him, still yet, the temperature is something he can not deny feeling.
Still in his wolf form, Adon, whom is his wolf whines quietly, placing the situation to not be only Lucien appreciating the view in front of them.
The six children who play hide and seek, each trying to hide from the seeker, makes another whine escape Adon's mouth, whereas Lucien, smiles internally, at their feeble attempt of hiding, nevertheless, because they are kids, is the sole reason it is appreciative to watch.
With one last gaze, Lucien and Adon turn away their gaze from the children, as with that, it's sends a signal to Adon from Lucien, that it is time for him to get back control, having been in his wolf for hours.
The cracking of bones, and shifting of ligaments can be heard if close, as Adon quickly grants Lucien's request by having him take control. Within seconds Lucien is back in control effortlessly, as with his change he can't help but remember the first time he changed into a wolf and the pain that brought, unlike the present, where he doesn't feel a single pinch of discomfort and why should he? It's been over two hundred years.
Lucien's black coat cascade down his body, whereas his black slick hair also compliment his outfit, as when gazing from behind, one would think they have just seen 'the grim ripper'. How ever, one would also speak otherwise when seen from the frontal view, and call him an angel descended from above, all attributing to his fine well sculpted jawline, pointed nose, high chiseled cheekbones and muscular built body, as with such, Lucien, is described as,
A man in a God's body.
To other's perspective, Lucien is seen as the precious prince, whom is loved by each and every clan there is, handsome to the fullest, the best of character and most importantly, one with humor in his words.
Almost seen as the perfect prince, yet, it isn't all that meets the eye, as Lucien do carry a burden in his heart, which he is trying to rectify, rather, he would call it a curse which the heavens decided to place on him, after all, no one is indeed perfect, which is another reason as to why he goes into the forest and spying on those little kids who play with heartfelt emotions in them, as to him, it is what calms him from the disturbing burden which lies in his chest.
The burden of his people at despair.
The suffering of his people, whom a certain governance is the the cause.
A governance which he plans on changing, if the heavens do stay by his side as he does.
The sighting of high towers and buildings come into Lucien's view as the familiar bricks made of bath and Portland stone comes through. The gates made of shiny iron written intricately of the family name 'Zeak' boldy enhanced, that one can not pass by without noticing that such a palace belongs to the zeak family and one of their member being,
Lucien Zeak.
The gates pushing open by the guards guarding the front, seeing their prince have arrived back home from his early morning outings, as each of them bow in respect, greeting Lucien as he walks by.
Lucien doesn't get too far entering the place compounds, when he is ambushed by his three triplets siblings, each in the age of ten years old running to meet him.
"You're back!!!" Each of them with the same words from their mouth meet Lucien finally, as they're heights do not meet half of Lucien's stature.
"Zeniela, Aridos, and Usupus, yes I am back, and it seems you all are exited to see me get back. May I know why is that today?" Lucien calling each of them by their name, gets amazed why he is ambushed with such gratitude this morning, for all he knows, this never happens.
Not that they do not love him, or bug him every time he is home, but this stays different as it does seem they have something they want, to which Lucien may know about.
"Have you forgotten so soon Lucy that you are supposed to teach us Archery today?" Zeniela, whom is the last of the three triplets speaks first, using the short version of the name she formed for Lucien, which in turn sounds like a female's name. "Would you stop stepping on my feet, Usupus!" The same Zeniela snaps at Usupus, the second of the triplets as her attention goes away from her older brother.
"You stepped on me first!" Usupus retaliates back by raising his voice higher.
"That's not true! I did no such thing!" The two ten year olds begin their usual bicker as at the sight, Lucien finds a smile creeping his lips with such view. Aridos on the other hand, merely stares at the two, nodding his head at his two siblings, as in his words, he would call them, 'immature', when in reality, he is just as young as them, which is something he constantly wishes not to accept.
"Enough. Enough of all the bickering Zeniela and Usupus." Lucien finally speaks, as with his words the two come to a stop instantly.
"Finally!" Aridos speaks demonstrating his fatigue with his hands, of the two's bickering, that if one is to see him do such, would think he is more than his age.
"I am going to do as promised, you need not worry about it, but, such day is not today, young ones, as I do have my hands full at the moment." Lucien tells the two and not long after do they begin their whining.
"But we have prepared so much for it." Usupus speaks first.
"We even polished our shoes!" Zeniela speaks as a matter of fact.
"I do understand, yet, I did not promise you today is going to be the day I teach you three Archery." Lucien informs them.
"Still yet, you never said it was any day brother Lucien, which means that day could be today." One thing which always amazed Lucien is the smartness of Aridos words whenever he speaks, that no doubt, when he does grow up properly, Lucien is certain he will be one intelligent man.
In truth, Lucien never gave a specific date as to when he is going to teach them Archery which indeed he knows. "In which l, also means that day must not be today." Lucien turns to Aridos, turning the tables to his favor yet again.
Right before any of the three can utter another word or whine, the golden doors to the interior of the palace opens, turning each of their heads to whom opens the door.
"Lucien! Thank the heavens, you're back!" At the words of the person, Lucien smiles wholeheartedly seeing his mother Rose, come out from the palace, approaching them.
One thing which Lucien holds dearly apart from his people, is family, as to any length to which Lucien can go to because of them. Especially his mother, whom, is the coolness of his eyes.
"Hello mother," Lucien greets still in the midst of his three siblings.
"My son, how was your run?" Lagartha asks dearly, placing a hand on her son's white cheeks.
"Splendid." Lucien answers truthfully.
"Thankfully you're back. I have been awaiting your arrival, rather, I and princesses Jelevene have been awaiting your arrival, in fact, she has just left not too long ago." Lagartha informs her son, as with her words, Lucien gaze changes and so do the three triplets.
"Rather you mean, Princess baked face," Zeniela with the sharp mouth speaks, as the three chuckle and even Lucien, has his lips curved up at his younger one words.
"Zeniela!" Lagartha raises her voice at the child's disrespectfulness but, even she knew her words come true, yet, she must not speak so in the presence of the kids.
"Sorry mother." Zeniela apologizing for her disrespectful words looks down in apology.
"Apology accepted, yet, this conversation is for your brother and I, so you three should go back in and prepare for Mr Wensbow to come for your educational classes." Lagartha orders her three kids as each of their faces which held enthusiasm earlier on, is replaced by the dreadfulness of Mr Wensbrow, nevertheless, the do not dare disobey their mother, as they walk back in dreadfully, including Aridos.
"I swear by the heavens, those three would make me age faster." Lucien's mother states in tiredness of what her three kids can do when joined forces.
"Though, Zeniela is right." Lucien speaks still with a smile on his lips, as Lagartha sends him a glare, right before chuckling lightly.
"Even if they are, I can not tell them such. They're mouth runs too much." Lagartha speaks about her kids whilst making fun of a certain baked face, called Princess Jelevene.
Lucien chuckles at his mother's statement, seeing exactly where he inherited such sense of humor from. "Nevertheless Lucien, you do low why Princess Jelevene was here." Lagartha begins to talk solemnly.
"I know." Is all Lucien speaks.
"You have only four days before the competition begins, and you have yet to pick a partner who will side by you Lucien," Rose concerned, speaks. "Lest you may have forgotten that you are the first born and first male child of the Zeak family, and if your father was alive, I'm certain he would have found someone suitable for this. Lagartha speaks.
"Yet, he isn't mother." Lucien speaks hardly. "He isn't alive mother, which gives me reason to have to not make a bad decision while picking a partner. You do know reasons why I must not just pick anyone who would not be suitable for this, as you know that I do intend of winning this, and let's say the heavens be on my side and I do win, do you really want Princess Jelevene to be the one by my side?" Lucien speaks and asks his mother as she stares at him dutifully.
"I'm not saying it must be her, just that you're running out of time. You have only two days left to introduce your partner, before it begins." Lagartha reminds Lucien.
"I know mother, and I may have found someone suitable." Lucien breaks the news to his mother as instantly, Lagartha face lit up.
"Thank the heavens, then, why have me stressed Lucien? Never mind, it's all gone now. Who is she? What Royal is she from? And what is she?" Lagartha bombards question with immense excitement upon hearing the news. An excitement which greedily stays on her face alone, and away from Lucien,
"There is something you must know Mother." Lucien begins, whereas Lagartha excitement dies slowly.
"What is it? Is her family not willing to let her, if so I'm sure I can speak to her family, you just inform me which Royal she belongs to..."
"Unfortunately mother, she does not belong to any Royal family." Lucien cuts his mother off as with his words, Lagartha comes to a halt completely.
"What do you mean?" Lagartha questions perplexed.
"She is not royalty or of royal blood, and she is the one whom I choose to be by my side." Lucien speaks manly and confidently, as his mother goes quiet hearing his tone, knowing what final decision he has taken.
"Do you love her? Are you two on some sort of relationship I do not know of?" Lagartha questions perplexed of the whole situation.
"None of the nature mother." Lucien answer me truthfully, as Lagartha goes silent for a while.
"Do you know what it is you say, Lucien? With this you will turn the the tables." Lagartha disturbed by the news finally speaks.
"Good, if so, then let's have the tables turned." Lucien speaks with determination fierce in his eyes, that even his mother knows her say no longer counts, as at this stage, only the heavens must be on their side.
