As the morning light filtered through the curtains, Elena opened her eyes and realized that Kai was holding her in a spooning position. Wanting to turn, she felt his arms tighten around her, and he huskily told her, “Don’t move, just stay like that.” She remained still for a few more moments, but curiosity made her shift again.
