After Kai dried his hair, he turned to find the tiny human, Elena, in his room. He noticed the fading blue hit marks on her face and hands, now transitioning to a yellowish hue, a sign that she was healing slowly. Compared to the other females he encountered, Elena seemed skittish in his presence, a refreshing departure from the usual advances and flirtations.
As Elena prepared to leave, Kai, intrigued by the silent human, decided to engage her in conversation.
“You still can’t speak?” he asked, and she nodded with a hint of sadness. Kai hummed in acknowledgment, recognizing the difficulty she must be facing without a voice, especially being the only human among the omegas. He wondered for a short moment why the Slave House personnel placed her as a good fit for the dragon houses.
