Scars

Jimin was getting annoyed by the sound of the medical devices.

He just wanted Yoongi to wake up, just to open his eyes and look at him.

It has been a day since he collapsed in their loft. An ambulance came to get him to the emergencies. The doctor said that it was an attack caused by his brain cells. He must have remembered something.

The younger didn't know if he should be happy because Yoongi finally started to remember his past or be sad because of his current state.

"Please wake up hyung.." he rested his head on the older's chest, tears falling on his hospital gown.

He spent all the night with him, hoping that he would wake up and tell him he's fine, but the only things he could hear were the devices beeping and the nurses walking in the corridors.

He kept staring at him and remembered the first time he met him. He was wearing the same hospital gown but way dirtier.

His face was paler and his body skinnier.

Jimin let a soft smile, realizing that Yoongi got better than before. He was eating well, sleeping on time and taking care of himself.

And looking at him sleeping, his body connected to various wires and breathing only from the oxygen device, made him determined to protect him with all his life.

No matter what happened to him in the past or what will happen in the future, Jimin wanted to protect Yoongi.

"Good morning Jimin-ssi." The nurse opened the curtains to let a ray of sunshine illuminate the room.

She checked the patient's pulse and injected an antibiotic into the serum tube.

"Good morning Soohyun-ssi." Jimin smiled.

"You must be really tired and sleepy." She sighed. "You should rest."

"I know but I can't leave him.." the younger sighed. "I'll feel at ease only if he wakes up."

"His vitals are stable so you don't have to worry, he just needs some time." She squeezed his shoulder. "By the way, do you know any of his family members?" She asked.

"No, why?"

"He still haven't found anyone.." she sighed heavily.

"What? Have you met him before?" Jimin raised an eyebrow.

She nodded. "I was the nurse in charge of him when he was admitted to the hospital before. He was one of those rare patients who took a long time at the ICU. Looking at him right now, I must say that his health improved a lot. I feel very ashamed that you took well care of him better than we did." She said, making the younger blush.

"I just couldn't let him get any sicker." Jimin said. "He looked like a great guy so I couldn't stay without doing anything."

"That was so brave of you." Soohyun smiled. "But the doctor really needs to speak to a guardian." She added.

"I'll be his guardian." Jimin said. "It's true after all, he doesn't remember anything so I'm the only one a part of our other friends."

"I know that it's too impolite of me but may I ask you something?" The nurse smirked.

"Yes?"

"Are you like boyfriends or something?"

"W-what?" Jimin blushed severely.

"I mean judging from the way you were worried about him and the way you stare at him, I realized that you had some feelings for him."

"Ah!" He shyly rubbed the back of his neck. "Let's say we're kind of like this..."

"I see." She smiled. "Then, the doctor wants to see you. I'll stay with Yoongi-ssi while you're there."

"Okay!" Jimin quickly cleaned himself a little bit before heading to the doctor's office.

My boyfriend..? He blushed. My boyfriend, Min Yoongi. He was internally screaming.

I like the sound of it.
