Ruhi sighed, as Severus informed her that Archduke asked her to come to his office. She was already irritated from the environment of mercenary group, now she has to deal with the Archduke. Sure, she finds him cute but he is grumpy and right now she does not want to deal with it. She even has to change her clothes now, to the ‘appropriate’ clothes that fits the status of the title, ‘Guest of Archduke’.
She knew that Maria must have reported everything to the Archduke and because of it he must be calling her. Maids helped her combing her hair and guide her to the office. She knocked on the door and walked in after she heard a ‘come in’. She looked at Archduke sitting on his chair doing some paper work. He looked up at her with his electric blue eyes pierced through her.
“Please have a seat Miss Ruhi”; He said politely making Ruhi raise her eyebrows in question.
Sure, he has been polite to her since she has come to his home but this time, he was extra polite. There is not a single tension in his voice, it is calm and collected. She took her seat in front of him and looked at him with questioning eyes.
“May I know what you want to talk to me about?”; she tried to talk politely but she could not replace ‘you’ with ‘mi ‘Lord’ no matter what; that is just too cringy for her. Felix sighed as he put aside his paper work, Severus came and served them cup of tea before going out of the room.
“Are you from a different dimension?”;
Ruhi who was about to take sip of the tea stopped altogether and looked at him. She smiled at him as she took the sip and kept the tea cup down.
“DING, DING. Nice you figured it out. Well, I did say I am an interdimensional guest but I guess you did not pay attention to that.”; Felix frowned but soon remember how she blocked his sword and said *Now this is not the way to greet an interdimensional guest*. He did hear her but he does not know what ‘interdimensional’ means.
“What does interdimensional means?”; He asked her making Ruhi sigh, how can she be so stupid as to not know that he must not know the meaning of that word.
“It means I am from different world.”; She said simplifying it making Felix nod.
“How did you come to the conclusion though?”; She said as Felix explained they could not find anyone of your look. Ruhi does not exist, in this world. Ruhi scoffed but nodded, of course she does not exist here.
“So, your friend is also from other dimension?”; He asked remembering she told him that she came to find her friend.
Ruhi looked at him and smiled. She thought he was not paying attention at that time but seems like he has selective hearing problem.
“Yes”; She replied.
“I would like to know how you and your friend came here.”; He said looking at her. He did not touch his tea at all but she did not care at all. He frowned anyone would see the tea suspiciously by now but she was taking occasional sips even though she saw how he was not even touching it.
“Maybe later.”; She answered not wanting to keep the conversation long. She wants to go and figure out this world. Felix nodded not wanting to pressure her into anything at least not now.
“I heard what you did in the mercenary guild”; He said looking at Ruhi.
She nodded at him and picked up her cup of tea and started drinking it, instead of her occasional sips. Thankfully it was chamomile tea, it calms her mind and her irritation of these obviously slow people.
“Hmm”; She said as she did not know what he wanted her to speak.
“How did you do that?”; Felix asked, he is obviously curious. Maria told that everything happened even before she could blink her eyes yet she could not see when Ruhi took the sword and beheaded the man.
“How do you think I did that?”; She questioned making him frown. She kept the now empty tea cup down on the table. She looked at Felix and smiled.
“Do you have a library here, where I can learn about your world? You see I want to find my friend as soon as possible so I can enjoy my retirement.”; Ruhi said making Felix frown.
“If you don’t mind me asking how old are you?”; Felix asked when he heard the word ‘retirement’.
“I just turned twenty.”; She answered making Felix sigh. Does the everyone in her world take retirement so early in age.
“So, about library?”; Ruhi asked taking Felix out of his thoughts as he nodded.
“Maria will guide you there.”; Ruhi nodded as she got up and went out of the room.
He sighed, he was not able to figure her out, she is from a different world that is true. But how powerful is she? And who is this ‘friend’ of her? He has heard saints coming in the world but they were always alone and stayed here in this world till their last breath but from what he can figure Ruhi out, she came in this world by her choice. And if she did, he is damn sure she will be having ways to go back to her original world.
He ringed a bell as Severus entered the room; he handed the butler a letter assigned to the Royal family.
“Make sure it reaches the King as soon as possible and keep the spies at bay.”; Severus nodded as he walked out of the room. The church has been spying on him regularly waiting for the moment he messes up and they take over and ruin him.
He cannot take actions against the church without any evidence at all. Whenever he catches a spy, he kills himself or actually does not know who hired him. Even his letters are checked, sneakily. Therefore, he needs this letter to go secretly because that particular letter contains the details proving the existence of Ruhi as a person from another world.
He drank his tea in one go as it was cold by now, he sighed remembering what Maria told him. Seems like Ruhi did the thing he wanted to do for so long in one go. But he also knows that by doing so she has entered a ground of prey; their strongest does not people of their guild being killed no matter what.
He does not know how powerful Ruhi is, but she might have trouble dealing with them and they would do everything to make her life difficult and some outright might challenge her to death match. He being an Archduke cannot do anything to the guild; but if Ruhi does gets hurt than he can destroy the guild on the ground that they mistreated the ‘Guest of Archduke’; then no one can say anything to him. Maybe having Ruhi here is not that bad; she might be useful after all.
