"Delicious," I murmured, to which she nodded in agreement. A shadow fell next to me, and I turned to find Darven seated beside me, prompting a frown. "You should look elsewhere. I won't entangle myself with another dark elf and their burdensome life tasks. I've already endured heartbreak with two potential mates," I confessed honestly. Darven listened intently, his chin propped on his hand. "I'm still on my first life and barely fifty. I have countless centuries ahead to fulfill my tasks, if ever," he replied with a slight narrowing of his eyes. "You know, for dark elves, it takes lifetimes
