Valtor entered the room carrying a large tray laden with bowls of various savory dishes. I rushed down the stairs, but in my haste, I nearly tripped on the last step. A pair of strong arms caught me around the waist just in time. I looked up into Valtor's concerned face and managed a smile, thanking him. He straightened me up, and I glanced at the mess. "I'll clean it up if you show me where the cleaning supplies are," I offered. He shook his head. "You're a pregnant princess. You shouldn't be doing such work." I placed a hand on his chest. "I'm perfectly capable of cleaning up the messes I create." "Even the two growing inside of you?" he snapped. I glared at him, but headed to the bathroom to grab wash rags and towels. I started cleaning the ruined feast, despite feeling exhausted. I
