I couldn't concentrate in the meeting. She occupied my mind, not just my mind actually my whole being. I wanted to see her and feel her soft skin against mine. Her scent is so addictive. I needed her, all of her. I know it wasn't ideal to take her in that office for our first time, but I couldn't hold myself. I'm actually glad Nick came for me. I want our first to be special, considering she's a virgin. I want to take sweet time with her.
"Alpha Tobias."
I had alpha Troy calling my name snapping me out of my thoughts.
" Oh I'm sorry what was that?."
"I was asking if it's okay to let some of your men to come and train my men." He said very confused of why I was distracted.
"It's ok I'll send fifty. I don't see any problem with it we are in alliance anyway."
"Thank you my prince they will come in handy since we are smelling vampires close by. It's as if they are looking for something."
"What could they be looking for?." Alpha Troy asked nobody in particular"
"There are rumors that they're looking for a Lycan." One of the alphas said.
What?... I couldn't believe what I'm hearing I thought I was able to hide what I am to the world. I guess it's time then. I need to keep Tris close by. She's in danger and she doesn't know it.
"Yes prince apparently they want the wolf for powers, It's actually part of the prophesy. No one knows the whole prophecy, we don't know who its referring to. And if he finds his mate he becomes the most powerful being ever walked on earth." One of the alphas said amazed by it.
I always thought I was blessed but I'm starting to think I'm cursed because obviously they are going to target my mate to get to me.
I feel my wolf stir in my head. " Don't worry Tobias we will protect her." My wolf stated in my head.
" Calm down alpha." My beta Nick said rubbing my back and I seemed to calm a little.
Ohk wait that also make Tris a lycan!!!. How can I forget about this, I need to protect her.
The meeting goes with us discussing how to tighten security at our borders. I couldn't be here anymore, so I just stood up and left the board room without talking to anyone. I wanted to be close to her. I could feel my lycan Ace surfacing I blocked him because I didn't want to grab the vampires attention.
I followed her scent and it led me to the kitchen were she was chatting with some girl. I think its her friend, and there were other woman in there. I think she felt my presence because she turned and locked eyes with me. My breath hitched by just looking into her eyes.
"Is the meeting over already?."
"No... I just couldn't stay away anymore."
"You need to go back in there it's important."
"You are important" I said while taking her in my arms then she reciprocates wrapping her hands around my neck.
I brushed my lips on hers and I couldn't get enough she was like a drug. That's when it hit me, I wouldn't be able to function without her. "She dies, I die".
"Ewww.. guys get a room." The girl who I assume is her friend said. I growled at her showing her my fangs. she bent her head in form of submission. I was not having it, who the hell does she think she is. She must never interrupt me and my mate.
"Hey don't do that she's my friend".
"Exactly she's not my friend." She looked at me as if I grew horns on my head.
"You know what get your hand of me and get out of here."
"What?."
"Yeah you think I'm going to let you growl at my bestfriend?."
"Okay I'll apologize if that makes you feel better."
"Geez you're such jerk."
I growled at her I couldn't take the disrespect. My eyes were now glowing gold. I was pissed and i grabbed her hand. "You don't get to f*****g talk to me like that." This time even my voice changed nobody dared to say a word. Her eyes turned silver she was also angry.
"Don't ever manhandle me." She said and yanked her hand out of mine and stormed out.
Fuck... what have I done.
Meanwhile everyone watched as the whole scene transpired and no one dared to say anything, even her mother.
Tris
I was so damn angry. How could he?!!!. I was running towards home I could feel him behind me.
" Go away!!." I said as he approaches.
"I can't, please forgive me I didn't mean to growl at you." He said.
"Then why did you?."
"Well I'm not used to people talking to me like that." He said like it's the obvious thing.
"I'm your mate I'm supposed to be your equal and if you can't see it that way maybe this, she said pointing at both of them. won't work."
As she said those words, Tobias felt his world crushing under his feet as if his heart was ripped off his chest and he was finding it hard to breathe.
"What!!?... Are you rejecting me?."
I could see tears forming in his eyes and I knew I've hurt him. "No I'm not rejecting you all I'm saying is respect me as your mate. And remember I won't settle for anything less."
He held my hand leading me into the house.
"where is your room?."
" Upstairs!." I said and he held me bridal style taking us to my room. He laid me on the bed taking in my body. I could see his eyes turning gold and then midnight black as if he was fighting with his beast for control.
"Tris I want you." He said hovering over me. I wrapped my hands around his neck and initiated the kiss. I don't know why I was so bold with him I never kissed anyone before.
"It's a good thing nobody touched what's mine."
" what?!!! did I say that out loud?."
"No, I can read your thoughts." My eyes widened like a saucer.
"You can read my thoughts?, I mean how?.
" That's a tale to tell some other time, right now I need you MATE."
I think we should take it slow Four, whatever I'm feeling for you it's not healthy. I just can't meet someone and instantly have these feelings.
"It's the mate bond, you can't deny the bond even if you wanted to considering what you are."
"What am I?."
" You don't know?."
No I don't, I wouldn't be asking if I knew right?.
"I guess we have a lot to talk about. But we can't do it hear tomorrow you are coming with me."
No I can't just leave!!!.
"And why not?, you're my mate, my queen. You thought I was gonna leave you here and go back home without you?. I've been waiting for you ever since I turned eighteen, so I won't spend even a second without you love. And I mean what I say."
This guy geez, so full of himself, and my foolish heart keeps beating for him. I held my head frustrated and all he could do was to chuckle.
