Aphrodite's POV

I was still lost in thought thinking about what my parents might be hiding when I heard my name being called and I turned to the direction of where my name was being called only to see Ametta and her friends, Christabelle and Charlot. They have been on my neck ever since I entered college and always pestering me.

"If only they know who I really am", I thought as I stopped to wait for them so they could reach where I am. "Good morning", I said as they get close to me.

"Just keep it, there's nothing good about this morning", Ametta said rolling her eyes as she continue "Did you bring the stuff I gave you and did you do it?", She asked.

"What stuff?", I asked knowing exactly what she was asking me about.

"Do you want me to spell it out, the f*****g assignment", She said getting annoyed.

"Oh I did do it but I'm not sure if I brought it", I said blankly not in the mood to argue with them today.

"What the f**k are you saying", Charlot shouted.

"What did you mean by you didn't bring it, we f*****g have the class this morning", Ametta said clearly angry.

"It's not like you are deaf though", I said only for Ametta to slap me "What the f**k is that", I shouted angrily tears threatening to fall.

"Do you want to receive another one huh", Ametta shouted as I kept quiet not wanting to lose my temper.

"Let's search her bag", Christabelle said and grab my bag off my hand as she and Charlot go through it.

"You know I really like you so much huh,you should learn to keep your mouth shut and obey me okay", Ametta said caressing my cheeks as I look at her with much anger "Besides, I just notice you dyed your hair blonde, are you seeing a guy already? if not I can introduce you to some hot guys",She said as she smirk.

"Here", Charlot said bringing out the books.

"You should have just bring out the assignment instead of letting me hit you before you do so", Ametta said smiling as she check the books.

"I said I was not sure not that I didn't bring it", I said as the lingering tears in my eyes begin to fall and I snatch my bag from Christabelle's hand and ran off not wanting them to see the tears rolling down my face.

"See you at the cafeteria baby girl", I heard Ametta shout as she was laughing.

Not looking at where I was going as I wipe off the tears falling from my eyes, I collide with someone as we both fall down.

"I'm so sorry", I said as I stand up to look at the person only to see that it was Dermont. "Dermont?", I said.

Dermont's POV

I was walking through the halls after coming from a meeting with my football team and coach about the upcoming match we have when someone collide with me and we both fall down.

"I'm so sorry", The person said standing up as I stand up as well looking at each other. "Dermont?",, The person called my name. It was Aphrodite, me and my twin sister best friend and also the girl I had a big crush on for the past five years and I haven't confessed to her about my feelings for her which grows everyday.

"Aphrodite", I said dusting off the dirt from my cloth "Are you okay?", I asked as the falling was really hard.

"Yes I am", She said slowly not looking at me and I noticed something was wrong with the way she was responding.

"What's wrong?", I asked holding her shoulders while I lift up her face with my other hand.

"Nothing, I have class so I will get going, see you at lunch", She said smiling nervously trying to avoid my question as she hurried off my sight.

Aphrodite's POV

After the drama with Ametta and her girls, I'm glad I wasn't late for my lecture but I couldn't concentrate all through the lecture. Thanks to Ametta.

It was lunch time and I drag myself to the cafeteria even though I wasn't feeling that hungry. As I get there I searched everywhere looking for my two favorite people who I cherish the most, my best friends, and I saw them and went towards where they are.

"Rosie", Cassy said as she normally call me by the nickname she chose for me waving her hand at me smiling as she sees me.

"Hey", I said as I get to where they are and sit down.

"Hey?",Cassy said looking at me as I sit down looking tired.

"I told you something is definitely not fine", Dermont told Cassy as he looks at me.

"Rosie, you know Dermont told me about this morning that you didn't look fine and I didn't believe him but I think I should now seeing how you look so down, What's wrong bestie?", Cassy said.

"I'm really okay", I answered looking at both of them. They have been my best friends for the past five years but I don't like burdening people with my problems. They weren't aware I was being bullied and I decide not to tell them for them to avoid trouble especially Dermont.

"You can't say you are okay when you aren't cheerful as always and your expression looks so sad", Dermont said.

"Okay, it's true", I said thinking of a lie to come up with so they would stop bothering me with questions.

"What's bothering you darling?", Cassy said looking at me as she holds my hand.

"It's nothing big, just about school and assignment, I was just so stressed out and I don't want to let my parents down", I lied.

"The last time I checked, you were always coming first in your classes so how can that happen", Dermont said curiously.

"Shut up", Cassy said to him "She's a human too and she can feel tired at some point right?, She said looking back at me.

"Yes", I answered and sad at the same time at the mention of me being called human "If only I could tell you guys what I really am", I thought looking at my best friends.

"Baby, don't worry about anything okay, it's fine if you get stressed out, it's okay not to be okay and I assure you we are always here to help you no matter what okay", Cassy said smiling.

"Thank you", I said smiling back but deep down I'm still hurt.

"I still don't believe you", Dermont said looking at me as me and Cassy look at his direction.
