Today started off well enough. I didn’t get much sleep, tossing and turning all through the night. I was up early, dressed and ready to go before anyone else.
Mia had been nitpicking my appearance all morning. She suggested I put on more makeup and jewelry to stand out, but Liam agreed with my choice and said it suited me better.
The school uniform fit me well. I was nervous that it was going to be a bit big, but I have been putting on weight so I filled it out nicely.
My window was rolled down the whole drive there. Mia complained that it was messing up her hair, but the cool breeze eased the nausea. When we pulled up to the school I put my hands on the door and peered out. I almost regretted not taking Mia’s suggestions about makeup and jewelry. She thought it would help me stand out
