Hands wrapped around me. My body felt heavy as led, but whoever scooped me up made it seem like I was light as air. Eyes still closed, I remembered laying next to Liam. I nuzzled into his chest as he walked with me.
My body was placed on a soft mattress. The bed dipped in and I could feel Liam crawling in. I didn’t care at this point. I could feel his back against mine. The warmth soothing my aching body.
Sooner than I would’ve liked, the sun shined through the curtains. I rolled over and noticed that Liam was gone. He must have gotten up already. I rolled out of bed and went to the bathroom to get ready for school. I had just gotten dressed and was placing my books in my bag when Liam came in.
