There were so many people packed outside, waiting to get in. Lights flashed from cameras all around. I was starting to get a headache. How everyone else seemed to be unbothered by this baffled me.
I was almost hiding behind Leo when he wrapped his hand tightly around my waist and held me close, leaning in. I placed my hand on his chest and turned so I could hear what he was trying to say.
“Semper tecum”
I was confused and then remembered my bracelet. I smiled up at him. People were shouting out so many questions that it all sounded muffled together. Leo just waved and greeted a few other people heading inside. We had almost made it inside when a loud excited shriek rang through the air.
“Leo!” A woman had come running up and jumped into his arms, planting a kiss on his lips.
