The drive was silent. Did I overstep on this? Did I say something wrong? I kept going over everything that I said in there and I felt like I ruined everything. My chest was so tight that I thought it was going to crush my lungs.
Tears fell on my hands. I couldn’t hold them back any longer. My life has been one big disaster that followed me around. I placed my hands over my eyes and cried.
Leo pulled the car over and unbuckled his seatbelt and then mine.
“You’re alright,” he cooed as he pulled me from my seat and onto his lap, cradling me, “you did well”
