My happiness was short-lived. Soon after we had our first drinks Liam got Oliver to go get us some more, but he never returned. Some of Liam’s friends from football came over and begged him to participate in some drinking game. After he refused they all put in a lot of effort to hoist him off in his chair. Carrying him away I couldn’t help laughing. I should be fine here on my own for a few minutes. If I just sat here he’d eventually come back.
