I woke the following morning on the living room couch, propped up by several cushions and decorative pillows that clearly had never been used in this manner due to the fluffiness that they still contained. The sky was open and a piercing shade of blue that grew brighter the longer I stared. I lifted my head gently, holding myself up on my hand, and heard a soft snoring noise coming from beside me.
