Luna's POV
Okay, I have never seen any... I don't even know what to say right now. When it comes to the terms of beauty, I have had my sort of thoughts about what beauty might be. I have thought and imagined so many things in my head about the extent of how far beauty can go.
But to be honest, what I am looking at right now has exceeded my expectations. The mansion I am staring at as I hold tight against my luggage is blaring some signals in my head that will make me go crazy in a few minutes if I don't figure out how the hell this is even possible.
The mansion looks like it is made entirely of pure gold, glistening with the rays of the sun flashing against the smooth surface.
I blink my eyelids rapidly, looking around in awe. I have never seen a mansion so beautiful in my life and it is so tall. This must be about 3 to 4 story buildings.
I am still thinking about this when someone suddenly bumps sharply into me, smacking his or her shoulder against my right shoulder and I jerk forward before struggling to regain my stance.
I look to see that it is Ava walking briskly ahead of me before tilting her head to glance at me over her shoulder.
"Are you just going to stand there like some nincompoop forever, or are you going to come in and begin your duties immediately, you little t**t?" She says sharply and this makes me flinch a little bit.
That is so harsh. I think to myself, but I am about to take hold of my luggage when Alpha Kael finally comes to a stop beside me.
"Pay no attention to her actions; I promise you in time, you will get used to her." He says and briskly walks past me without even saying anything else or doing anything.
But then he speaks again. "Come in and I will direct you to your duties," he says briskly with his hands in his pocket in a casual manner as he and Ava head towards the entrance of the large mansion.
I sigh and take a deep breath before gathering my luggage and dragging it along with me towards the entrance.
We finally get in, but I do not have the chance to explain the extent of the exquisite beauty I am beholding right now because Ava is casting me glares that tell me that if I don't start something right now, she might end my life without thinking twice about it.
I find a way to locate the kitchen and briskly begin to drag my luggage toward it when Ava finally stops in front of me, giving me a furious frown.
" Okay, I don't understand what is going on here. Do you intend to live in the kitchen? Where the hell are you taking your luggage to?" She requests and I am forced to look at her with confusion.
I don't know what I am doing here and she is making matters worse for me.
I hear someone sigh behind me, and we both turn around to see Alpha Kael standing before us with his arms folded.
"The fact that she is the slave doesn't mean you should be so mean, Ava," he says and she directs her focus towards him.
" Where is that sentence coming from? Isn't that why she is a slave? Are you now caring about her?" She asks sharply and the glare he gives her makes her shut her mouth immediately.
She immediately huffs before walking briskly away from the bottle house. Alpha Kael watches her leave with his eyelids squinted as if lost in thoughts about something. Then he points at her retreating figure.
" I think I need to bring some restrictions about her presence in my home," he says softly as though talking to himself before returning his focus to me.
He scans me from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet before shaking his head and walking close to me. "Come with me; I am going to show you to your room; it's going to be the slave quarters where you'll be staying for now so that your presence will be made known. And then I am going to show you to the butler who is going to direct you with every appliance and everything you need to know about this apartment. Your job begins today and there is no rest for you," he says sharply before walking briskly away from me.
Then he stops a few feet away from me, turns around, and looks back at me.
"Surprisingly, you are no longer as sharp and daring as you were back at the slave camp, I would have loved it if you continued to be acting like that, it is actually intriguing and I love people who dare me a lot, it seems to make me want to tame them the more, just like I am aching to tame you right now."
I don't know why his words set my veins throbbing deep down within my system but I blink and wipe the thoughts briskly away from my head. I look away from him as quickly as I can, turning towards the kitchen and stepping inside immediately. I shut the door after me and observe my surroundings.
Well, if I had thought I had seen beauty in my life, nothing is compared to what I am beholding right now in this magnificent, crystal-like-looking kitchen I am currently situated in.
I mean, this is supposed to be a kitchen where cooking is supposed to be done, but why the hell does it look as comfortable as a sitting room?
Every basic equipment needed for cooking and all other utensils are kept and neatly arranged in various sections. In the center of the kitchen is a very large table with a beautiful sink that looks like it must be made from the richest porcelain materials or artifacts ever created in the city.
I am struck with awe, still observing my surroundings when the door to the kitchen immediately swings open. I turn briskly to see Alpha Kael standing there with a smirk on his face.
"I don't get it. Did you think you could just lock yourself in here and escape away from me?" He asks with a very sharp voice that makes me gulp as I fiddle with my fingers. "This is not over between us, young little slave, but well, I have no intention of punishing you right now. I'm going to give you time to adjust to your new surroundings. May I know your name, please?" he requests, but I bite hard against my lip, refusing to give him an answer.
He squints his eyelids and chuckles. He shakes his head and looks away for a brief while.
"Now she's back to her calm but daring composure once again." He says with a smile, " I like that. You can try to be as stubborn as you want to, whatever your name is, but I can assure you that I'm going to break you and I'm going to bend you to my will, little by little, until there is nothing left for you to hold on to and you have no other option than to submit to me completely." He says with a daring tone and slowly turns away, shutting the kitchen door after him.
I heave a sigh of relief the moment he's gone. I don't know why, but his air of authority and his powerful aura seem to render someone completely breathless whenever he's releasing his authority over every slave.
I look around the kitchen, thinking of what I'm going to do to get back to my duties, but then the kitchen door bursts open immediately.
I turn my head sharply to behold Ava stepping in with her wicked and harsh demeanor. She stomps briskly towards me with a furious expression on her face that makes me fidget.
I step back briskly as she continues to walk quickly towards me till I finally come in contact with the middle table in the kitchen, feeling completely trapped against it. She comes to a stop directly in front of me and takes hold of my jaw, twisting my head to the left as she brings her malicious-looking lips close to my ear.
The aura and the stench of fury I'm feeling from her body are making me want to crawl and hide under the very core of the earth.
"I don't know what you did to make Alpha Kael bring you into our home, but don't think you can get away easy with this, because I am here, and if you try anything stupid and malicious to my husband, I will kill you, I promise you. You should know me by now," she says with a threatening tone before snapping her hand away from my face, then she dusts her hand as if she had just touched something filthy.
" Get into your room and have a change of clothes. You smell like dirt, and you stink of disgust right now," she says and readily walks out of the kitchen.
I gulp down hard, trying to regain my composure as I brush a few strands of my red hair away from my face.
Oh goodness me, this... I don't even know how to explain it. The only thing on my mind right now is that I prefer the slave camp far better than this magnificent building I just got into.
