Connecting the Feelings

Will stood looking out the window, the windows being well shaded allowed him to watch his mate and Zane outside. Her expressions were so clear to him, he watched her as she nervously talked to the wolf, he could see the moment she realized that Zane cared about her. He watched the two holding hands as she worked through her emotions he watched them play out across her face like a well-written book. It didn't bother him to have the wolf be involved in their relationship, he knew that one day she would probably want children and that was something he couldn't give her, the wolf could do that for her when her biological clock would go off. Zane would probably want to mark her soon as his mate, he didn't mind as long as he could claim the wolf as well. The young wolf was quite nice to look at and he didn't mind the idea of sharing his bed with him at all. Valentina slid up behind him wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her chin on his shoulder and looking out the window at all the shifters outside enjoying the morning sunlight. "I miss sitting in the sun, when I was a girl I would spend hours in sunlight helping my family with our home." "Me too Val." He left it unsaid that for him Star was like the sun he missed so much. Feeling his life up with her cheerful attitude, bright voice and never-ending love. He didn't know his unlife had missing her until he had seen her, talking to her for the first time had been so eye-opening for him. "You think that she and the wolf will get together, he wants her so badly it's like everything in him needs her. All that longing that surrounds him is delicious." She turned her head to look at his face, studying the strong lines and high cheekbones, as he watched his mate and the wolf. "I do, I think I'll encourage it." He turned and smirked at her, "If it's meant to happen it will, you know fate works in its own timeline." She smiled at the blonde vampire before turning her head to look out the window. *** Outside Zane sat looking at Star, his heart was swelling at the thought of being this close to her. Holding her hand and enjoying the sun was something he thought he wouldn't get to experience, it would probably be only a matter of time that she had left to bask in the suns rays, looking down at their clasped hands he smiled, maybe she did feel something for him besides friendship he liked the thought as did his wolf. Maybe it would be enough for him, he doubted it, but maybe fleeting moments like this could sustain him. Maybe he didn't need to let her go, maybe they could have a relationship as well. Looking at her face as she was deep in thought, he could see the swirl of emotions going through her mind. Could she care for him as more than a friend? He hoped so, he had a moment of missing Jesse. How he longed to talk to his friend about what they were dealing with, although his friend probably wouldn't have been too cool about hearing all about his feelings for his twin sister. He had a feeling his best friend had probably known about it all along, he did have an uncanny knack for knowing things he shouldn't. "I couldn't imagine a world without you by me either." The redhead smiled, a blush spreading prettily across her cheeks. She squeezed his hand gently. His breath caught in his throat, his heart beat faster in his chest. Could things with her be this easy? A cough interrupted the moment as Drae had walked over to them. "Would you like to spar again with me Zane?" She toed the grass, watching the pair with curious eyes. "I don't mind, you were quite the challenge yesterday." He smiled at the blue-haired wolf, her lip curled barring teeth. "I'm not used to being beaten and if I want to be third to Alpha Graham, I'll need to be better." She shrugged her shoulders trying not to snap at the blue and green haired wolf. "I understand, you've got to have his back. How about after dinner tonight?" The wolf said still holding the redhead's hand, slowly he let it go. Standing he smiled at the redhead and then at Drae, "I'm going to grab a bottle of water, do you want anything?" He asked Star. "Thanks, but I actually need to get back in to talk with Will. Maybe we can talk some more later?" Standing she smiles at Zane as he nods, before turning to nod an excuse me at Drae before heading back into the house. Going into the pack house she walks past the kitchen and heads towards the stairs, She sees Will coming down them and smiles at him as he holds his arms open for her. She does in for a hug, leaning her head against his chest. He leans over her smelling her sun-warmed skin in, he can smell the fresh floral scent of roses which were blooming outside. He knows at that moment, he'd do anything for her even accepting the wolf into their relationship. Even though she hasn't brought it up yet, he has a feeling she will soon. "You smell nice Luv, did you and the wolf have a good chat?" He pulls slightly to watch her face, lovingly. "We did." She keeps her reply short avoiding his gaze as she worries her lower lip with her teeth. Will growls low in his throat, lust spiking through him at her innocent gesture. "You know Luv, you can tell me anything. I'll always love you, communication is very important in any relationship and all I want is honesty." He touched his fingers to her chin lifting her face up to look up at him. "Stop biting that lip, before I do it for you." She blushed at his words, leaning in to kiss him. After a deep kiss she smiled at him, "I think we need to talk Will."
