Star finished her bath, the memory of Will's hands still tingling across her skin. She let the water out of the tub and dried off grabbing a fresh dry towel to wrap up her hair. Making her way towards the bedroom she pulled her bag onto the bed holding her hands above it she whispered, "Da mihi indumentis." Opening the bag she found her undergarments and beneath that she saw a purple shirt with a pair of jeans. Smiling she started to get dressed, happy that the spell she had placed on the bag was working.
Pulling the damp towel from her hair she headed towards the bathroom to hang it up. Making her way with bare feet into the kitchen she saw Will at the sink rinsing off some grapes. She smiled at him, "Any changes out there?" Shaking his head he set the grapes on a plate, the plate had baked herb chicken on it and some well-seasoned farrow. Another serving sat warmed in the oven for the sleeping wolf. Before his turning, Will had loved to cook and that hadn't changed upon being turned. He loved watching the redhead eat, enjoying the things that he made gave him almost as much satisfaction as a good meal had given him as a human.
"Yum, that looks so good. Thank you, Will." She took the plate from his hands and headed towards the table. Will followed her carrying a bottle of water, he placed it on the table beside her plate.
Tucking into the chicken first, the witch closed her eyes savoring the taste. The blonde smiled watching her, stealing a grape off her plate he popped it into his mouth. Although he enjoyed eating, he gained nothing from it and in all honesty, it didn't taste the same as it had when he was human. The only thing that gave him true sustenance was human blood, animal blood would do in a pinch but really didn't give him the strength he needed. He had compared it to drinking decaf coffee once when Star had asked him about it.
The smell of food had roused the wolf from sleep, padding into the kitchen jeans hanging low on his hips he ran his fingers through his hair. Following his nose to the plate held warm in the oven, taking it groggily with him to the table. He nodded his thanks at the vampire before digging in, no words being spoken. Star knew the wolf didn't wake up well from all the mornings he had spent at her home after spending long nights gaming with her brother.
He inhaled the food barely stopping to breath before leaning back taking in the sight of the other two at the table. "That was good, Will. Thank you."
"Sure you tasted anything? Looked to me like you shoveled in so quickly you couldn't get a taste." The vampire joked with the wolf. Star tossed a grape at the vampire, a warning of 'be nice' not needing to be said with the look on her face. He put his hands in the air shrugging his shoulders at her, then grabbed the grape off the table tossing it into his mouth. She finished her food and leaned back, "That really was good, thank you."
Zane sat watching the two interact with each other, he grabbed the redhead's plate stacking it with his own and headed towards the sink. "Thank you, Zane." The wolf nodded back at her, a half smile on his lips. He turned on the water to begin cleaning up their dishes, when the witch spoke up, "So what's the plan for tonight?" Will had been twirling a strand of her hair in between his fingers when he glanced up hearing her speak.
"I figure pack up what we can from here and head out, hopefully, we can make better time tonight. I think we'll reach him by daybreak if we hurry. If not, I'm sure he'll still be waiting tomorrow night. He's got his own people to keep safe as well." The blonde leaned back comfortably, pulling the red-headed witch closer to him.
Star nodded, "Sounds good, so we'll leave at nightfall?" Smirking Will tugged at a red strand of her hair, "Unless you'd like to be mated to a pile of dust, then yes." She smiled at him leaning her face towards his he stole the kiss that she was offering.
Zane finished washing the dishes and headed back towards the table to sit across from the mated pair, heart hurting as he watched their easy interactions. "I've got room left in the truck, not to jinx us or anything but things have been moving along smoothly so if it keeps up we'll be there in no time."
Will let out an exasperated sound from the back of his throat, "I'm not looking forward to seeing his Majesty the Wanker, his foreheads huge and he's much too dramatic for me. Just wait til we get there, you'll see it'll be all long sighs and too much touching from his barmy mate."
Standing up the vampire started heading towards the bedroom shouting over his shoulder, "All we'll hear is whining about sparring and keeping our instincts sharpened, I'll be the rotten black sheep returned to the fold. Loads of laughs ahead Pet." The blonde vampire trailed off complaining the whole trip down the hallway.
Witch and wolf looked at each other before laughing, "His sire really isn't that bad." Star said smiling at the green and blue-haired wolf, "It's his sire's mate that is a little off. She's got this whole power of peoples libidos, she likes to play games with those around her." Nodding the wolf picked at his chipping nail polish, he had a bottle of black polish in his duffle bag in the truck he'd need to touch up his nails when he got a chance. "I'm hoping we don't pique her interest when we get there, she's got a fondness for Will that's borderline creepy."
The wolf looked up, grabbing an apple from the bowl on the table, "Nice in-laws." He commented before biting into the red, ripe fruit, "I hope we can crash there with low drama then, the sparring doesn't sound bad though." His wolf nipping at the thought of digging its claws into the blonde.
"I'm going to get started combing through the house, we've only got a few hours before nightfall." The red-headed witch stood as the wolf finished his apple in silence. He watched her as she left, his eyes following the sway of her hips with longing. He needed to get over his feelings for the beautiful witch, he knew it would be next to impossible with the feelings he and his wolf both had for her.
