Chapter 5It feels as if a wagon hits him, when Atroek grabs hold of him, picks him up, and throws him against the ground. When he hits the sand, pain flares up, but even while in a daze, he manages to roll around quickly, away from the groping hands of the big Atroek. He is on his feet, and Atroek nears him, crouching and with cupped hands. Teuns still has the knife in his hand and he realizes that there is no time left to fight this man with his hands.
