"Thank you for today," Arcana said and smiled in the town square, where behind her you can see that big statue of the first head of the Arkwright family, and this serves as a tribute for him of the town people.
"You're welcome. But uh, is this really the place?" he said referring that they are in the middle of the town, the most visible place, "I can ask my---" he stop midway when she smiled so wide that he almost thinks that she was sparkling in that moment.
"Oh," he softly said and Arcana did not hear it.
"Yes, I'm off here." she said and smiled again, "Bye," and waved at him saying that he don't say more and go now.
"O-oh! Alright, have a great night!" he said but he cannot just leave a girl alone in the town square, and it seems that she is new here and did not know much of this place.
Arcana waved at him and smiled. Thus, he decided to look for her while she is not looking and noticing it. He wanted to make sure she is safe.
Arcana was taking her time looking at the streets of the town where she is residing right now and it was beautiful. Those blinking lights is very nice for this age.
'Come to think of it, there is a lot of things that I did not know about this world. Oh, I didn't get his name!' she thought in herself and gasp. The starry night looks so peaceful that she cannot help but think about things that have happened.
"It was too fast…" she said when she saw Dahlia waving at her with Sir Jordan and Sir Brod. She smiled.
"I'm glad they are still alive." and waved at them with most beautiful smile she can give. She remembers in this body how they were brutally killed, like a premonition aside from what she have read in the novel. They offer their life to save them.
"My lady!" Dahlia is waving at her with tears in her eyes, and the two knights smiled softly at her.
The carriage they had is simple, and does not have their family crest in it. But it was comfortable inside. It was indeed a good day, and she was able to meet someone who seems normal.
What she meant by that is because now she is inside of a novel, it was hard to meet a people with views that she had in the modern world. It's been a month since she woke up and it was a relief that her engagement was broken that fast. Or so that's what she thought.
'It seems that the Crown Prince is very pleased with the news. It was faster than expected.' she thought referring that it only takes a week for the engagement to be cancelled, and her father is very worried at her. But he cannot do anything.
He does not say anything. He is in another Kingdom right now to settle some big orders of ark, and the problem has arisen. Arcana has been wondering why there is a shortage of materials in such amount of time.
"We have arrived, My Lady," the coachman said and Dahlia has laid out first to check if there is any rock in the bottom while Sir Jordan extend his hand at her.
"Thank you," she said while her forehead knotted when she saw royal carriages outside of the manor.
"What is that?" she ask Dahlia but she just shrugged her shoulder. She felt nervous for a second but shake her head because it was late now and she wanted to rest now.
"Must be the messenger of the King," she said referring to the official letter that cancels their engagement.
She walked inside her manor with confidence.
'I really want to bathe now and sleep!' she said, celebrating her victory today if really the talk of the town that her engagement has been broken off officially.
The servant open the door and she smiled even though she is really tired only for her jaw to drop to see him.
His orange eye is beautiful as the day she has been executed in the past, and her legs suddenly feel weak and trembled as flashes of memories of what happened in the novel flashed across her mind.
'Damn, the memories of Arcana is gushing through my mind,' she said and hold her head.
"What? You hate seeing me that much that you suddenly fell ill the moment you see me?" he asked and grinned, while she can't help it but rolled her eyes.
'That damn prince is here.' she tighten her grip in her dress as she restrain herself from saying anything. She closed her eyes and tried her best to smile and walked towards him.
"Greetings to His Highness the Crown Prince," she said and bowed to show her courtesy, he looked at her.
"You may rise," he said and smiled at her, scanning her appearance from head to toe.
'She sure look fine and like nothing happened. Did she change?' he asked and scan her appearance.
She did not look at him as always, and had sat on the chair with straight face.
'What the hell is he doing here?' she asked inside of her, trying to hide the pressure inside of her trying to keep herself compose.
"What brings you here, Your Highness?" she asked while trying her best to smile. He crossed his legs and look at her.
"I came here to see my fiancee. He said and smiled too.
"What do you mean by that, Your Highness?" her pretending that she does not know what is he saying.
"Hmmn…" he said, "It sure is strange. When I say that, you would be very happy. But you look very hostile right now." he said and is scanning her.
"There is nothing strange with me. I just realized that His Majesty is better off with Lady Florent." she said and smiled, while he flinched.
"What do you mean? You know Florent?" he asked with a confuse expression.
"Who would not know the…" he stopped midway when he realized the intense glare Arcana is giving her.
