He’d heard Arlo’s song, had watched him through the window as he’d stood in the dark and brushed his hair, and he’d never sensed such sorrow in his entire life. What creature sang like that? There hadn’t been words, just…sounds. The beast didn’t care, he wanted to tackle Arlo to the bed and f**k him silly—it was their right to do so, but Nash reined him in. Not tonight.
