Crossing her arms tightly over her chest she kept her gaze low and stared at her feet, wondering what George would say. A chill passed down her spine when she felt his warm hands reach for her freezing arms. Pulling her closer towards him, he caressed her flushed face and made her look into his eyes. “You’re the only reason I’m still here, I’m no prince or wealthy aristocrat, but I promise I’ll keep you like a queen,” he said lovingly and noticed the glint in her eyes. “I love you dearly, Marine” he whispered her name and embraced her tightly.
