MAVERICK comes out of the basement, exhausted and weak. He also has many wounds and they are still healing.
“Your Highness,” Kayden and Connor attended Prince Maverick immediately when they saw he was about to fall.
Kayden and Connor put both of Prince Maverick's arms around their shoulders. And they took him to his own room.
Kayden sighed. “I wonder who the Crown Princess was, and His Highness endured the pain last night?” he muttered. “If it were me, I couldn’t endure the pain of being inheat.”
“A human. What else?” Connor shrugged. “But even the Crown Princess is a human, she was His Highness's mate, and we need to respect her. Moreover, I’m sure the Moon Goddess has a plan.”
Kayden smiled. “It’s rare for you to say those kinds of words. I was even touched,” he said teasingly.
