Even the people at the back or further down the beach now all ran for their lives, as the beach started to clear once the disturbance made itself known. Many of the beach users ran back behind where Daryl and Sam were located, back towards the sand dunes that lay behind the beach, whilst everyone else located closer to the beast ran back towards the main entrance and car park area, near to where the café and lifeguard station were located. Amongst the chaos that ensued, Daryl presumed that he was in a modern day era, especially looking at what people were wearing and how they behaved, thinking that it must easily be the 21st century, but he was clearly wrong, because while the attack raged on, a large group of men came running out of some nearby buildings holdings spears and shooting arrow
