The Honeymoon 2

The newlyweds spent the next two weeks touring Sicily. They visited Villa Romana del Casale in Enna, the twin towns of Ragusa and Modica, Palermo Archeological Museum, Mount Etna, the beach in San Vito lo Capo and spent their nights cuddling. Rosalia felt blissful.

She really had a good time, smiling and laughing constantly. David also had a lovely time that he wished time would freeze and they could be trapped in their own world.

He learnt of Rosalia's childhood before she moved to New York after her father's death. He told her of his childhood as well, what it felt like to grow up alone with no siblings. They learned so much about one another during their stay in Sicily.

As she had enjoyed their stay in Sicily more than he had expected, he decided to extend their honeymoon by taking her to Greece. He was to attend a business meeting in Greece and took his wife along.

In Greece, when David was not working, he and his beloved explored ancient ruins in Athens, they visited Thessaloniki, they climbed the circular stairs to the top of the White Tower stealing kisses as they ascended and descended.

They visited Aristotle Square in the city center and walked along the famous Nikis Avenue, where they stopped to enjoy Greek cuisine.

In Rotunda, they came upon an ancient building that served as a temple and saw beautiful mosaics from the Roman period.

They visited the Roman Forum and saw the remains of ancient Roman buildings.

One thing the couple had in common was that they both appreciated Art. They enjoyed learning about ancient towns and drawings, so their tour was not boring to them at all.

David bought expensive presents for his wife. He treated her like an egg. He caused her no discomfort at all and made her feel nothing blissful.

"Jesus, what are you doing?" David asked, grinning like a school boy taking in his environment.

"I thought you had an impromptu meeting," Rosalia said, rolling her eyes.

"It ended early", he shrugged

"You are not supposed to see all of this till I was done" she murmured

Rosalia wanted to surprise him. She planned to transform their bathroom to some romantic room.

She had filled the bath tub with so many bubbles and petals. She had switched off the lights and lit up candles, a bottle of wine was sitting in an ice bucket with two glasses waiting to be filled.

"Well …" David said removing his shirt and loosening his pants "What can be done if not to savor this moment"

He moved close to her and gathered her in his arms, resting his forehead on hers and whispered "Thank you, I love it". At that exact moment, looking into her eyes and wishing for this moment to never end, David knew that he had fallen hard for Rosalia. He realized that he loves her so much that he would give up everything he had including his own life to be with her.

Rosalia palmed his right cheek and inclined her head slightly to give him a kiss.

David did not respond at first as she had never initiated a kiss before. He was beyond astonished.

She felt David's long pause and after two more tries, she moved to break the kiss but David was faster as he grabbed her chin and kissed her with urgency. He kissed her like his whole life depended on it.

She kissed him with equal fervor, it did not take too long before things got heated between them, as the constant slapping of skin against skin was heard in the room with periodic moans and groans.

"By this time tomorrow, we would be in our new home"

"You bought a house in Sicily?" Rosalia craned her neck a little from her sitting position to look at her husband.

David asked her if she would wish to live for a year or two in Sicily, to which she just smiled. When he did not get a response from her, he had jokingly promised to buy a property in Italy.

"No, my sweet. In New York. I bought us a new property" David chuckled as he patted her back.

"Oh". Rosalia replied crestfallen

"I don't want to leave as well. But nothing will change between us". After giving his statement a second thought, he asked "nothing will change between us right?"

David was scared for a moment that she might go back to treating him like her master once the Honeymoon was over.

After traveling around Greece and he had finalized his deal in Greece, the couple came back to Sicily and had more fun.

"Of course" Rosalia assured and kissed him on the cheek facing her before resting on his chest again. He blushed and rubbed her back.

Irrespective of the number of times she had surprised him with her kisses, it always felt like it was the first time and made him blush like a schoolboy.

A few hours later, the couple are in their new home in New York. Rosalia loves the house, it is a really big property with so many rooms that she had lost count but it felt warm and homely.

Walking into the master's bedroom, she realized that David had ordered staff to arrange her belongings neatly and bought more designer clothes, bags and shoes.

Hugging him, she said "Thank you for being my husband "

"And thank you for being my wife".

After unpacking her suitcase, she looked around some more. She noted a few landscapes she had not discovered before.

David had dinner with his wife by the little pond the property had. He arranged all the plates, the staff had helped to lay out on a tray and served her her own portion.

He helped his wife cut her steak and fed her some nutritious food like prawns and so on. She felt loved and opened her mouth wide to receive foods he fed her.

After their meal, they had an intimate moment as the sun set and dusk began to fall before cuddling and watching the stars together.

'God! How I love her'

David thought as he watched her intensely.

Meanwhile,

A man dressed in black in a black sleek car raised his telescope and watched the couple laid side by side.

He chuckled bitterly and said.

"David Walker, you have bitten more than you can chew".
