Leo came back after an hour, he opened the door saying, “Im sorry it took so long, but I needed to keep double checking something, Jennifer did you tell Boss that you was beaten, and do you know by who, you had a few broken ribs that healed, You are partially deaf in one ear, and I know you are seeing fuzzies in your eyes, it means who ever hit you, broke a blood vessel and it never healed right, your backbone was almost broken so whoever it was, wanted to break your back, it's the reason why sometimes your back hurts, but i'm sure you already knew that, your wrist has been broken but they both healed, but once when he looks at Jax and then back at Jennifer, and sighed, Listen when Boss had said is true, you are a lycan, Your lycan was at bay because someone was beating you so badly that she couldn't fully form, but she is forming now, she won't be at bay anymore, when she is fully formed, you will be hearing her talk to you, you will be healing from all the wounds that had not healed, you will see a lot better, you will hear a lot better, your back will be fixed and your wrist as well, so right now, you need to tell us who did this to you, so we can make sure they won't come after you to try this again,” When Jax heard all the wounds that Leo had said she had, he had to keep his lycan at bay, both of them were pissed off, this is the reason why she wants to run and leave, I know she has been looking for ways out, she thinks i'm going to do the same thing to her, He heard her sigh, When I lived with my parents,

I was walking home on a rainy day, my dad said he would be picking me up after school but he never did, I had to walk home, and it started raining, great just what I needed, when I got home, I tried to dry off the best I could before I went inside, I took off my shoes, and my backpack and left them out on the porch so they could dry before I brought them inside, I made sure all the water was out of my hair before I opened the door and I went inside shutting it behind me, I made it into the hall way when I heard my mom call my name, “s**t, what did I do now?” I turned and walked into the living room where my mom was standing in the middle of the room, she had her arms crossed and her foot tapping on the floor, I could tell she was drunk and by the way it smelled in here, it smelled like she had been drinking all day, “Come here right now Jennifer Gold,” that was my whole name Jennifer Gold, I walked over to her and stood in front of her, i could smell the booze on her breath, and it smelled badly, ‘Yes mother?”

“Don’t yes mother me, where is your father, wasn't he supposed to pick you up from school today?”  I nodded and said, “Yes mom he was, but he never showed so I had to walk home in the rain, I should had never said that, because I got backhanded the minute I said it, my dad walked into the door and I didn’t even hear him, “I waited an hour for you to come out of that f*****g school and you were here all a long,” 

I held onto the side of my face where he hit me, it stung like a b***h, I didn't shed any tears, I knew better, because that is what he wanted, the more I cried the more he would hit me, “Dad I got out of school at three, I told you it was early release day today,” “Child I don't think so, you have lied to us before, why should I believe you now, he slapped her so hard across the face she fell to the ground she held onto her face, her face stung so badly,she could feel the side of her face start to swell,  she tried to stand back up, because she knew if she didn't he would grab her by the head of her hair pulling it out by the roots, when she did, he punched in her in the face and on the side of the head near her ear,. her ear was ringing so loud that she felt like she was going to scream, “Get your ass in your room until we tell you to come out, if I see you even poke your head out of your door, i’ll f**k you up so bad, you wont be able to walk because i’ll break your f*****g legs, now get your ass in your room.” I stood on my feet not looking at them, I walked passed him and he glared at me, “We should had left you out in those woods to die a long time ago b***h,” I didn't know what he was talking about, all I knew I wanted to get into my room before he tried anything else, that night, I heard them fighting, when I woke up, I went to the bathroom and saw a huge bruise on my face, i had a light black eye and a knot on the side of my head,  i had to use cover up to cover up the bruise, my ribs and my head hurt but I dealt with it,

when I was done with my story, Leo and Jax looked stunned, they had anger in their eyes,”I did go to school that day, early release was always on Thursdays, I hated going home, but if I didnt they would hunt me down and drag me back, calling me names and beating me, so when they kicked me out, I was glad to leave, she turned to Jax, there is no need to protect me Jax, I been protecting myself almost all my life, I dealt with lose, death, pain and failure, heartache, and thrown out like trash, I lived under a bridge for a week and in my car, until I got enough money to get me a small house, so you see, I can take care of myself, i'm sure there are many jobs around here to gain a paycheck,”

Jax only shook his head, as she kept talking, “I do not believe i am a lycan, I never felt different, only myself, and if it is true, let it come on., and I will tell you now, and i won't hide it, the first time i get a chance, I will leave this place, and I will run so far away from here if you ever lay your hands on me,”
