Chapter 5“Do your parents know you’re over here right now?” Drew asked Ellis as he led the way to the gym, which was located in a large room right across from the living room.
“Yeah,” Ellis replied. “I called them up last night upon returning to my apartment after dinner with you and Braylon. I informed them I might be a little bit late in reporting for kitchen duty at the restaurant later this morning.”
Drew nodded while opening the door to the gym. He gestured for Ellis to enter first.
“How did they take it?”
“They sounded weirdly amused and excited at the same time. I don’t understand why, though. Ever since my first meeting with you and Braylon, my parents are behaving odder by the day.”
Drew wasn’t sure if that was a positive sign or otherwise. “In a good way or not?”
