Alessandra’s POV No matter how fast my feet hammered into the floor of the woods, he was behind me. My eyes not bothering to filter through the darkness or its luminescent moonlight as I could feel him reaching for me, succeeding before taking me to the ground. His weight was impossible to fight as if I were paper against rock, a useless effort for the strength I needed to reserve.
