Everyday more memories flooded my brain, memories of C.E.C.I.L. and of home. Sometimes I recalled ordinary childhood moments. Other times strange thoughts filled my head like random, highlighted words in a history book from the compound. The sudden deluge of returned knowledge made me wonder if my recollections were real or part of an active imagination. “By the way,” I grunted as my sister helped me to open a door at the far end of the lower level hallway. “Ben is what Caleb used to call you.” The vision replayed again as I solved the mystery of one of the few memories she recalled.
