(Liam’s POV) It was slightly past 2:00 PM, and the sun was high overhead, causing long shaded patches throughout the thick trees that encircled our temporary home. The sounds of the pack were far away, muffled by the trees, although I may have heard the weak rustle of leaves and the periodic bark of a close by wolf. Our lodge was modest, concealed at the fringe of the pack's territory, sufficiently concealed to stay away from a lot of attention nonetheless close to the point of experiencing the stress of their whole focused eyes.
