*Hi! If you haven't read Saved by the Alpha, followed by Alpha Alice, I suggest you do so before reading this story.*
Noah's POV
"I hereby announce you, married! You may now kiss your husband." I waste no time in dipping Alex and kissing him passionately in front of the crowded field. Cheers and clapping can be heard throughout the area. I can't believe this day finally arrived and I now have my mate as a husband. We pull apart for air and the smile never leaves my face. Damn, he looks so f*****g sexy in his tuxedo, but I can't wait until I can tear it off him later tonight.
"I love you, Noah." He grabs me by the waist and kisses me again. "I love you too, Alex." I say once we pull apart again. I grab ahold of his hand, "Come on. Violet is getting impatient." I chuckle. He takes a seat with my parents and I run back on stage to stand beside Chris. I am his best man, just as he was mine. We were originally going to do the ceremony at once, but decided to do it separately, but on the same day.
I can't believe my best friend is about to marry my sister.
Music begins to play and Alice is the first to walk down the aisle, looking beautiful as always. King Landon can't take his eyes off her and that makes me happy. Baby Benjamin is looking quite adorable and everyone is cooing at him in Alice's arm. Next is Megg, who was also Alex's best woman. Last, but not least, is Rose.
Once the bridesmaids are all on stage. The elder asks for everyone to stand for the bride. The music switches to another song, and my dad comes walking down the aisle with Violet. Father walking their child down the aisle is traditional, but since he was walking with Violet, I had asked mom to walk me down. She was overwhelmed with joy and couldn't stop thanking me. She is so adorable and I am blessed to have her as a mom.
Violet is wearing an elegant white wedding gown with a sunflower headpiece attached to the veil. The entire theme of our wedding is sunflowers, hence why we are in the middle of a sunflower field and all the bridesmaids are holding sunflower bouquets.
We chose a Spring wedding, and luckily for us, the weather is perfect. I was a tiny bit worried that it would rain. Speaking of water, I keep looking back and forth between my sister and Chris, who are clearly holding back tears. The way he is looking at my sister is the same way I look at Alex. Nothing but pure love.
Once our father gives her a kiss on the cheek, he goes and takes his seat. The elder performs the same ceremony speak that he had done for Alex and I. They give short vows and are soon pronounced as husband and wife.
Now, the reception can begin! I grab my husband and hit the dance floor. This has been the best day of my life and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. Hours go by and I go to ask Violet if she is ready for the pack run.
"Yes! Let's do this!" She eagerly shouts. She has only been a wolf since Christmas, so this will be her first run with the entire pack. This run, I allow her to link the pack as alpha. Once I hear the, "Yes, Alpha!" I begin to shift, along with everyone else in the pack.
Mom climbs on to dad's wolf, and Rose climbs on to Kevin. Jackson nudges Cindy to join, so she climbs on to his wolf.
We are the only pack to have four alpha's at once. This only makes us stronger, powerful, and feared. This also puts a huge target on our pack, for anyone who wants to try and take over the position as Alpha. It has always been like that, but luckily, that has never happened.
Running through the woods, I can feel how happy my wolf is to be set free. I let out a howl in happiness, and the pack does as well. Alex's wolf is running beside me, and is trying to get ahead. I playfully nudge him and dart off faster. I always like a good game of chase. It doesn't take long for him to catch up to me and tackle me to the ground. He leans down and licks my face, causing a loud purr sound to come from me.
I link the pack and tell them it's time to head back home. I hear a bunch of paws come to a stop and I know it's them turning around to run back to the packhouse. I haven't seen Violet or Chris, so I'm sure they are off somewhere privately just as Alex and I am.
I'm enjoying this time with my husband when a loud bang could be heard. My blood instantly ran cold. There's no doubt that sound came from a gun. "IS EVERYONE OKAY?" I ask through link.
"NOAH! HELP! VIOLET'S BEEN SHOT!" He tells me their location and Alex and I run off to them. Growls can be heard throughout the woods and I know it's our pack coming to the rescue. Arriving at the scene, my heart plummets. Chris, his parents, Alice, Landon, and my parents are on the ground beside my sister. The shot forced her wolf to shift back to human form. She had been shot right through the heart. The hunter who had done this was not far away, head torn off from his body.
I could feel our family bond breaking, indicating that she is gone. I fall to the ground beside them and scream. "NO!!!!"
The pack lets out a howl, indicating the loss of their Alpha. The entire atmosphere is tense and filled with sorrow. How could the moon goddess be so cruel and take away my sister? This is the second time she has been shot within a few months. This isn't fair. Violet has been nothing but kind to everyone she has ever met. My sadness is beginning to get overpowered by my anger. I have to get away before I do something irrational.
