“You aren’t Riley are you?” Sera asks. I don’t respond. Her grip on my hair is still stinging. She suddenly lets me go and laughs. “I need to find Kizaym. He f*****g kidnapped the wrong girl,” she says right before she disappears. The other girl is gone too.
It feels so good to be alone. My stomach rumbles. I look at the porridge. Maybe I can taste it. I take one bite, it’s not so bad. I guess when you are hungry, you can eat anything. They will definitely kill me now, so I might as well die with a full belly. Thinking about what Sera will do to me makes me scared. I never thought I would fear anything in my life, but she seems unstable.
