Chapter 27

2343 Words

Elise could feel Arthur's blue eyes as she ate her food in silence but she pretended to not notice that. They left the library two hours ago and Elise hasn't uttered even a word since then. She was lost in her own world, her mind was a chaotic mess. It felt like she was drowning in her own thoughts. "Are you going to say something or are you going to continue pretending as if you lost your vocal cords suddenly?" Arthur asked, leaning his back against the chair. He was done with his food fifteen minutes ago and he was waiting for Elise to finish her plate patiently but he could see that Elise wasn't actually interested in eating. Elise let out an unhappy sigh and put her fork and spoon on the plate, "I am thinking about something" She said, pushing the barely touched food away from her.
