Two pairs of eyes bore into me as I walked inside. Xavier looked grim as hell, his eyes angry as he appraised me. Even though I felt jealous that he was the one to go save her, I also felt grateful to him. At least he didn't join in the party.  "Where's she?" I demanded, my voice hard. I have no idea why I felt so scared. If she was here, that meant she was okay. Xavier moved away and so did mama and I almost stopped breathing as beguiling hazel eyes gazed back at me.  Oh thank god.... She was okay. At least, that's how it looked.
