"Relax Elizabeth." I told myself as i started walking back to school with a gnawing feelings in my stomach but I knew i had done the right thing that would not fall into Cameron's kissing game to save myself from heartache. I looked at the sky, the sun rose so high and i had to shade my eyes to look around the facade. The trees were swaying through the wind and it carries fresh air intoxicating my nostril. And suddenly I remembered my old friends, Elise and Jimmy in New York. I was wondering how they are doing since we have not been able to talk when we moved here in California. I will make sure to call them later after school. "Hey Lily!" Someone's pulled me out of my trance as I turned around and saw Leslie's immaculate beauty shone from within while hugging a paperbag of food against her chest. "Where are you going?" "I was looking for you." I replied as i tried to smile. "I'm sorry if i took so long." Leslie apologized and wordlesly handed me the paperbag. I noticed that she was sweating maybe she ran to get back quickly as she possible because Leslie knew i was waiting for her. "There were lot of people in Taco bell." I shook my head. "It's fine." Our gaze locked as I watched her eyes glittering with something new and exciting. "Do we still have time to eat?" "Hmm." Leslie took a quick glance at her wristwatch. "7 minutes." We both sighed in disappointment. "This is Taco Bell's fault." Her brows knitted in frustration. "Lily I'm-" "How about eating these yummy tacos on our way to school?" I suggested as i took out one tacos and gave her food. "You know, it's delicious to eat while walking and enjoying the beauty of nature." "Well. That is a good combination." Leslie agreed as we begant to walked and eating in silence. "Lily." Leslie whispered my name very lowly, I almost could not hear it. "What are you going to do if you like someone but you are not sure if that person likes you too." A piece of food suddenly stuck in my throat making me cough hard. "Oh gosh are you okay?" Leslie asked worriedly and handed me a water bottle. "Drink." I did what she told me without a second thought. Heck, the question really caught me off guard. It's suit my situation right now with Cameron. "Er." I cleared my throat awkwardly. "I don't know but maybe." I stared at the sky, where birds were free flying across the horizon. "Tell him-" "She, it is a she." Leslie corrected. My head snapped at Leslie's direction. "She?" Leslie looked away with a red tint on her cheeks. Wait, I thought she is straight and had a crush on Grey? "What about you Lily? How did you find her." I was about to ask when she changed the subject. "Cameron." My face heated up quickly by her question. "I.. don't know." My fingers were shaking as i stroke my hair nervously. Leslie chuckled, it sounded like a marvelous music in my ears. "You are really beautiful Lily." It only made my face burn even redder "Even though you were hiding it behind those spectacles, sweaters and bangs but I could still see it." Leslie's compliment made my heart swell. "Grey has seen it too." "Leslies. I-" I was out of words. "Cameron is obviously not able to see the beauty of what's in front of her face." Leslie murmuned before taking a bite of her taco. "She is missing out on such a wonderful opportunity." ••• I arrived home from school and my stomach instantly growled in hunger when i smelled the scrumptious aroma of my father's cooking from the kitchen. "I'm home!" I announced but no one responded. So, I walked into spacious living room and found my mother with her two handsome guests. I immediately recognized John, the english man and long time manager of my mother but other guy next to him is new to me. "Oh, Lily!" Mother acknowldeged my presence and held my hand. "Gabriel." She was talking to the other guy next to John. "This is Elizabeth, my one and only beautiful daughter." Gabriel stared hard long on my face with those magnificent blue ocean eyes. "I'm Gabriel. It is lovely meeting you Elizabeth." He has a very thick british accent that sent shiver down my spine. Damn, british accent are freaking sexy but don't get me wrong I'm gay, clear as sky. It's just so good to hear it. "Damn. You really look like your mother or more beautiful than Elena." "She is." John stood up and stepped closer to me. He is very handsome with his black suit. "But i still don't understand why you are wearing this glasses." He slowly took off my glasses and brushed some stray hair off my face. "I only wear them at school." I reasoned out. "Why are you doing that?" Gabriel interjected with a curious look on his handsome face. "Look, you are so young and really beautiful Elizabeth. Why don't you let other people appreciates what you can offer like your mother." I know people believed that being a child of celebrity has many advantages. Well, that is true, but we need to remember that it has also some drawbacks. Of course, there was always a comparison and too much expectations from me because my mother is the Queen and top, highest model today. My mother stood and looped her arm around my waist. "Lily here." The two handsome guys looked at us expectantly and waiting for more words. "She is pretending to be this kinda of nerd at school, to hide from critical eyes so people won't notice her true beauty." "I don't get it."Gabriel looked even more confused. "You can be a model or actress and it does not matter if you know how to act because there were a lot of acting studios and work shop that can teach you." The offer is so tempting, a great oppurtunity for me to establish my own name and earn millions but i was not sure if I'm ready for the noisy and boisterous world of the entertainment industry. "Thank you for such a once in a lifetime offer Sir." I gave Gabriel a grateful smile. "But i want to finish high school first and then let us see what is waiting for me after that." John and Gabriel stared at each other for a moment but nodded their head in agreement while my mother is smiling big at me. "How long do you have to do that though?" Asked Gabriel. "I'm not sure but maybe.." John handed me my glasses but i did not put them back on my face. "At the right time." After the dinner with my parents and our guests. I decided to say goodnight to them and go to my room since they are going to talk about business. Gabriel gave me a calling card just in case i change my mind about his offer. "Hey Lily!" A girly voice interrupted my thought while i was checking all the photos that i took this morning in the garden and there were all captivating. "Are you even listening to me?" "Oh. Yeah Elise." I looked at the screen of my laptop and concentrated on the window where my friend Elise is. She has changed a lot and became a more even beautiful girl. "You are excited about the Prom tomorrow because of this Shantal chick." Elise blushed hard and cutely tucked the stray hair behind her ears. "Well, I just.." She cleared her throat earning a smile from me. Elise is a like a flower starts to bloom. "Really really excited to see how beautiful she is." "You sounds already inlove with her." There were stars in her eyes while talking about the girl she adores. "Are you?" "Yes." Elise replied without breaking an eye contact to me. "I love her." I rested the back of my head against the chair while listening to Elise. I know she wanted to say more but there was hesitation in her eyes. "So, How about you Lily? How was school?" My eyes adverted to the window and watched the blinking lights of the stars. "School was okay. I already made friends and got an enemy." Elise chuckled. "Enemy?" I brought my attention back to my laptop. "The Queen Bee." "That's trouble." "Indeed." I sighed while remembering my very first encounter with Aerin. "So i do everything in my power to ignore Aerin to avoid drama or anything." "How about girls?" Elise asked with a meaningful looks. "Is there anyone there already got your attention?" As much as i wanted to tell Elise about Cameron, of how she saved me from the Queen Bee, about the kiss and... "No one." I lied. The looks of Elise told me that she did not believe me a bit. Heck. I can hide my feeling through words but my eyes can't but before Elise could ask for more i decided to changed the subject. "How is Jimmy?" Elise and I talked about everything that i missed about her, our circle of friends, schools and college. Knowing her, I know she will be a great and famous pastry chef in the future. ••• "Enjoy school." Father said when he pulled in front of the school. "Yes dad." I replied lazily while clambered out of his car. "If you buy me a car then you don't have to drive me here every day." Father tilted his head to the side. "We have talk about that again." "Okay father but please reconsider it beside you guys are always busy." I replied with a casual shrug. Father just gave me a nod. "Drive safe. Love you." I took a deep breath the moment i set my foot on the ground. The sight of school depressed me and made me think that why do we need to go to school? Why can our parents teach us everything in life? Like seriously, we don't really need algebra or quantum science in our everyday life. "Hey Lily!" Father shouted from his car. I stopped walking and turned to stared at him with my most boring facial expression. "We are going to John's birthday party tonight sweety. So cancel your date with Cam-" "Father!" I groaned loudly with my hot face. "Don't say that!" Now there were students looking at me suspiciously and some were not paying attention to me. What if they find out I'm lesbian and having crush on Cameron? Oh gosh i could not imagine what Aerin is going to do. Maybe that will be the beginning of World war III. "Bye dad." I made my way inside the school, the hallway was crowded of people. They were just simply hanging out, talking about dramas, the new make up from MAC etc. If the hallway can only talk, I'm pretty sure that they could tell me everyone's darkest secret. A familiar figure was leaning on my locker but he must have felt my presence and looked at my direction. I could not deny that Grey is really handsome and all the girls here at school fall to his feet. But too bad i was protected by rainbow. "Good morning." I greeted Grey and opened my locker. "What can i do for you so early in the morning?" Grey finger comb his curly hair with a dazzling smile pasted on his face. "Hmm. I was waiting for you Lily." A frown set on my face while grabbing the books i needed for today. "Why are you waiting for me?" "Can.." Grey cleared his throat. "I." I silently closed my locker. "Ask you something." "Yeah sure." Grey shifted his weight. "I was thinking if we can go out tonight... like a.. ummm..." We stared at each other for awhile. It only reminds me of Cameron, they both have an enticing green eyes. "Like a date?" I supplied the words since he could not continue. I know it from the start that Grey has a crush on me but i thought it will go away since i showed him no interest. "Grey.." Grey sigh in defeat when he saw my reaction. "It's okay Lily." He forced to sound cheerful to hide the disappointment. "Maybe you don't like me-" "Grey, it's not that i don't like you." I told him sincerely. How can i say to him that I don't date guys? But I'm willing to date her twin. Okay, that was a good joke. "Grey.. I." The noise from people around us vanished into thin air, leaving Grey and I alone in the hallway when the bell rang. How i wish Leslie was here to break off the awkwardness between us. "Go to your class Lily." Grey said. "Do you want me to walk to your room?" "What about you?" We are classmates with his twin sister. "Are you going to ditch your class again?" Grey chuckled that lightened up the mood. "We have practice today and i was excused to my class." "Ohh. okay." I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. "So, see you when i see you." Grey just smiled and there was sadness in his eyes. "Goodluck!" "Thank you!" Grey said. I started walking away from him but i could feel his stares on my back. "Lily!" He shouted my name. Slowly, I looked at him over my shoulder. "See you later." Why i have a feeling that he was going to say something different but he got disheartened because of my rejection. I gave Grey a last smile before walking fast towards my first class. "Oh gosh. I'm lat-" The words stuck inside my throat in fear when someone grabbed my arm and pulled me inside the janitor closet. The abducter pinned me hard against the wall, I tried to scream but the person was too strong for me and something covered my mouth so i can't make any noise. "Sshh. Shut the hell up woman!" I quickly opened up my eyes when i recognized the voice. "I will remove my hand just promise me not to make any sound, are we clear?" What does she wants from me this time? I nodded my head in understanding. She slowly took her hand off my mouth but her arm now on my waist. "What are you doing Cameron?" I took a shaky breath. "Why did you brought me here?" Cameron's piercing green eyes made me weak in the knees, they were cold and lifeless. "Don't play with me Lizzie!" "It's freaking Lily not Lizzie!" "Lily or Lizzie i don't freaking care." A playful smirk tugged at the corner her lips that frightened me. "Now, I wanted to know why are you really ignoring me and flirting with my twin Grey." "Look who is talking!" I snorted. "First, can you please let me go." But Cameron gave me a thick shake of her head. "Grey and I are not flirting." I placed my hands against her chest and tried pushig her away from me. "And who do you think you are to questioned me!" "It does not matter!" Cameron muttered under her breath. I almost jumped when i felt her hand pressed more against my lower back. "Grey is a player Lily." "Yes, of basketball." Please enter sarcasm here. "I'm serious." There was irritation in Cameron's voice. "Grey will only hurt you." "And you are a liar." "Huh? How could you say that?" Cameron is confused as hell. "If Grey is player then you are a liar." I stated. Cameron did not say any words for awhile as we stared at each other endlessly. She is trying to comprehend what i was saying to her. "If you ever say that again, i will make you pay." I smiled in victory because im getting under her skin. "Why? That is the truth, you are lia-" My heart sunk to my feet when Cameron smashed her warm and wet lips against mine. I really don't believe in butterflies inside my stomach but electricity that tickles the organs. My body was on fire and my heart was beating hard as if i was running for my life. I tried pushing Cameron away but it only made her forced herself more to me. Then all my remaining dignity vanished like a smoke when i felt Cameron roughly suck my lower lip. Oh f**k!
