It was so breezy outside, the family were about to start the annual celebration as used to even from the ancestors’ culture. They will be celebrating yearly an Onnam Feast or their so-called like family festival which is for the tributes for their great ancestors who were considered heroes in old times. Lathmi a very young girl of age nine was being so courageous enough to get involved in related heroic practices of her ancestors. They lived in a mountain where snow weather occurs every seven months of the year, from months of October to June. In this seasons the family of Lathmi are always expecting lots of challenges. Many to mention, but one of the usual incidents is rescuing strangers stranded in the snowy forests nearby.
One day, the grandfather of Lathmi named Ikhubi, was in the forest searching out something to help out or hunting some animals for food. On that same moment, it happened by chance that the location where granny is searching out was near of a certain incident. There was a family stranded on a heavy snow, and granny Ikhubi has his intuition that something really happened seriously in that family. Few minutes, he saw the father wounded. The number of people or the members of the family are in five. The father, the mother and the three children. That moment the father was trying to rescue his family from the big tree trunk that fell down half on their car that they can hardly move on to their travel trip. Good thing, granny Ikhubi was around that time.
The incident requires a lot of huge help, granny Ikhubi cannot do it by himself alone even with his all girded complete equipment to do so. He must have some few strong men with him on that very hour. But he’s running out of time. The father was seriously injured, so much blood came out from his left side of his body. What granny Ikhubi did, while hoping somebody could pass by also for an extra hand to help rescuing the family stuck in the heavy snow and a big tree trunk; he tried to communicate each members of the family inside the car, most especially the father.
‘’Sir is there any chance for us here?” asked the inured father, yet hopeful. ‘’Of course, I can see much possibilities for you all to be rescued as long as you can do what I need you to do’’ replied granny Ikhubi. Step by step granny Ikhubi did all he could instruct them, as precise as he could.
Meanwhile at home, grand-daughter Lathmi had an unusual feeling at the very same moment. This was not her first time to feel so intuitive at granny Ikhubi’s whereabouts. ‘’Papa, granny Ikhubi must be home this time’’ thoughtful doubt of Lathmi, asking his father Tauru about his dear granny. ‘’ He must be at something, and I’m feeling he needs something or some help, …. I do hope I am right’ added Lathmi.
“Alright, alright! we will try to wait for few more minutes, and if granny Ikhubi will not still be around home, we will be searching him out. I needed the help of our neighborhood for this. Tauru, Lathmi’s father firstly knew the same thing of Lathmi’s feeling. He has been familiar also in such sort of possibilities on what his father Ikhubi might up to, helping anyone even on his own risks.
So after few more minutes of waiting, granny Ikhubi is still not be at home. With no second thought, father Tauru hurried up, buckled up with needful equipment he must be needing for searching out to fetch granny Ikhubi. Little Lathmi is not allowed to go with her father and the neighboring group for she must and to wait patiently and positively. All men including Lathmi’s father were all on their way searching out granny Ikhubi, it took almost an hour for them since it was so in heavy snow. Eventually, the team has found the location where granny Ikhubi was, and the family he’s rescuing to…at this time, the wounded father was running out of blood, immediately the whole team hurried up and successfully pull out the injured family from the accident. It was still very breezy afternoon on that whole incident, and gladly to know that all survived from the breezy and horrified incident.
