I finally got the results! Under normal circumstances the patient would've been called or sent a text message to let them know what the results are, but I wanted to be the one to give it to her. I haven't opened the envelope because she should be the first one to know, but I can't wait until after work to tell her, so I quickly make my way towards the optometry department. I ignore everyone calling my name and rush to her, but when I walk into her work space, she isn't there. Tina is in the testing room, Mandy is busy with a patient but Jena is sitting in front of her computer, frowning at it as if it did something to her and she really wants to beat the s**t out of it.
"Hi, Jena. Do you know by any chance where Carina went?" I ask her, my leg bouncing with nerves and excitement.
