CHAPTER 9 EXHAUSTION CLUNG TO Kennedy’s limbs when her alarm rang Monday morning. She wasn’t much of a coffee drinker but decided she might stop for something on the way to lab. Her roommate didn’t have any classes before noon, at least none she regularly attended, so Kennedy got dressed as quietly as she could with the light from her desk lamp.
