Chapter 24 meeting some of the members

Alpha Rick’s P.O.V

  “Then let me help you learn, I’ll help you for as long as you will let me.” I said and she smiled.

  “I’ll stay here tonight.” Hope replied and moved further up the bed, lying down. I covered her up with the blankets and went over to the couch to lay down. I lay there just listening to her breathing and it sounded like music to my ears, her breathing even out and I looked over to her to see that she had fallen asleep. I’m not surprised it didn't take her long, she looked so exhausted and stressed out. I laid back and tried to get some sleep, but all I could do was listen to her peacefully sleeping and smile at the fact that my mate was here, she was here and she was sleeping in my bed.

  “Vince, she's back and actually sleeping in my bed this time.” I said, mind-linking my Beta.

  “Wow, that's great news. How are things going between you two, well before she fell asleep that is.” Vince replied and I frowned. 

  “She told me her story, so that's a start, but she has had it really bad and when I say bad I mean terrible. She is so strong and brave, she has survived everything that has been thrown at her.” I said and looked back over to Hope.

  “Oh, well at least she is here and she is safe now. Do you think she is going to stay for good now?” Vince asked and I sighed because I had no idea.

  “In all honesty I don't know yet, but I need your help with something. I want you to look up Alpha Cole Cunning and Alpha Roman Black, get all the information you can on them.” I said, still looking at Hope and feeling pain at the thought of losing her and what she had been through.

  “Okay, but why? What am I looking for?” Vince asked.

  “Everything, I want to know everything about them, their packs, their territory, everything. The reason I want to know this is because if they ever come onto my territory I will have their heads on a silver platter.” I replied, trying to hold back my angry growl.

  “Alright, first thing in the morning I will find out what I can about them, but until then just enjoy having your mate there with you and for Goddess sake don't scare her away. We need a Luna and everyone is talking about her. They have seen her running and jumping through your window, so be prepared for a lot of questions.” Vince said and I laughed slightly, ending the link. I settled down for the night having everything that Hope told me running through my head and tried to get to sleep.

  The next morning I woke up with a jolt and jumped off the couch, looking straight at my bed, hoping that she would still be here. I sighed when I saw that the bed was empty and she was gone again, but then the bathroom door opened and I turned to see the most beautiful creature ever. She had long dark curly hair, bright green eyes and dimples on both cheeks when she smiled at me which made her look even more adorable.

  “You had me worried, I thought you had left again. Are you hungry?” I asked, making her smile and nod.

  “Yeah, I’m a little hungry.” She replied, smiling. I loved her smile. 

  “Alright then, let’s head downstairs and get something to eat, let me just use the bathroom first.” I replied and rushed into the bathroom, not wanting to let her out of my sight. I walked back out and she was making the bed, not even noticing I was behind her.

  “Ready?” I asked, taking her hand and leading her to the bedroom door so that we could go eat, but then she stopped and frowned a little. Had I said something wrong? Was she having second thoughts about this? Was it too soon for her?

  “What's wrong?” I asked, worried.

  “Well, as hungry as I am, I don't think I would like to walk into the kitchen in front of your friends and pack wearing this. Do you want me half naked so everyone can see me?” She replied and I looked at what she was wearing. My eyes went wide when I realised that she was still just wearing my shirt and there was no way I was going to let anyone see her like this, she was mine.

  “I am so sorry, hold on a second.” I said and hurried over to the dresser. I pulled out a pair of house shorts and gave them to her. She slipped them on and tied them so that they wouldn't fall down.

  “Okay, so I’m kinda fully dressed, now where are we going?” She asked, as I took in her body wearing my clothes.

  “We’re going downstairs to the kitchen, so you can eat. I’m hungry and there should be breakfast ready. Everyone here takes it in turns to cook and clean, it's not just one of us that does it. We do have ranks like Omega, Delta, Gamma, Beta, warriors, head warriors and we also have fighters, but everyone is equal here, until they decide they want to turn their backs on us and then we throw them out of the pack, turning them into rogues.” I replied and she smiled. I felt so stupid for telling her all of that, she had already told me that she was part of a pack, so she already knows what the ranks are and what packs consist of, I thought to myself.

  Beta Vince’s P.O.V

  I was in the kitchen cooking today's breakfast, but I never liked cooking because I always burnt everything. This time I had a foolproof plan on not burning it all and decided that I would microwave everything instead. I microwaved the sausages, bacon and I even microwaved the pancakes, but I decided it would probably be best to cook the eggs properly because I didn't know how they would turn out or taste when they had been done in the microwave. I fried some of the eggs, scrambled the rest and thankfully I didn't burn anything, but I also had help so the table was already set with pitchers of milk and orange juice, with the plates, forks and knives there as well by the time I was done. They helped me carry the food in and set it down on the table and everyone began to dig in. We were all so focused on our food that none of us noticed Alpha Rick came in until he cleared his throat and we all stopped eating and looked up at him.

  “My family, I would like to introduce you all to Hope and I hope your Luna, if she agrees to it that is. She's new around here, so please do not overcrowd her and be respectful.” Alpha Rick said and everyone smiled at Hope, causing her to smile back at them and shyly wave. Does this mean that they have already talked about being mates then? I’m glad she is going to stay, she has survived being out there on her own, so I am sure she will be good for the pack and Rick. Rick’s sister, Kimmie looked up and jumped out of her seat, going over to Rick and Hope.

  “Hello Luna, my name is Kimmie and I am Rick’s sister. Welcome to the family and may I say you have the prettiest smile.” Kimmie said, making Hope smile wider and I chuckled at how excited she was.

  “Well hello Kimmie, it's very nice to meet you. I hope we will get to know each other a lot better. I do want to say that the food smells really good.” Hope replied and I smiled proudly at my cooking skills. Hope, Rick and Kimmie all came and sat down at the dining table, put food on their plates and began to dig in. I felt really happy that everyone was enjoying the food I had cooked, it made it worthwhile.

  Alpha Roman Black’s .P.O.V

  I was sitting in my office and I was still trying to find Hope and then something unexpected happened, I got a phone call from one of the Alpha rogue’s. 

  “What do you want?” I asked, not having time for this.

  “I thought you might be interested to know the whereabouts of the young woman you are looking for.” The Alpha rogue replied and suddenly I was all rears.

  “I’m listening, what do you know about her? Where is she?” I asked and he started to laugh.

  “Myself and a few others have noticed a young lady running back and forth to a werewolf pack for the past few weeks. She is very beautiful and very fast.” He replied, but how did I know I could trust this information? How did I even know if it was Hope?

  “What is the name of this werewolf pack?” I asked, hoping that this was it, that this was my chance.

  “It's called the Moonstone Pack.” He replied and I hung up the phone, not wanting to talk to him any longer. He had served his purpose and now it was down to me, but something was bugging me. Where have I heard that name before? The Moonstone pack, it sounds really familiar, but I can't put my finger on why. I shook off the thought and decided it would be best for me to go and check out the werewolf pack to see if she is actually there.
