After sealing the letter with a magic stamp that only Nick could decipher, I summoned the letter-sender portal. I placed the scroll inside and closed the portal by entering Nick's address into the input box. Once done, I leaned back, gazing out the window at the charred remnants of what was once a thriving region. The devastation weighed heavily on me. Tomorrow, I would visit Carol, as we were scheduled to assist the workers in rebuilding the homes. It would be hard, seeing the destruction up close again.
Despite the growing exhaustion, sleep eluded me. Nick had warned me to keep an eye on Alpha Tyler. Apparently, the Alpha had a habit of discreetly leaving the realm at night. Nick always seemed to be one step ahead, constantly in possession of knowledge the rest of us didn’t
