The trip back to Torrent’s town took about three long days. Amni was throwing up the entire time and I was unsure of what exactly was going on. She had never been like this before, yet she claimed that it was because of her not having the proper food or water while she was locked up for the past month. Even though she ate the entire time back, she still vomited. The last day, Ace and I took turns carrying her because we were both afraid; she was growing weak from something. Though, Ace hovered over her like a hawk, and it infuriated me. I wanted to be the only one to be watching over her and caring for her.
