Chapter 2: Visiting Her

When I went to her office, Lindsay was too busy, she has a robbery case she was investigating and she needs to report to Mr. Holmes also about his visit to my apartment.
"Oh, hi, I am looking for Detective Jones, is she there?" I asked one lady I saw.
"Hi, Detective Waltz," as she introduces herself. I quickly give her a handshake. "She's busy at her desk but come and I'll walk to her," the lady said and walked towards Detective Jones's working desk.
Lindsay was busy scanning the report she made for Mr. Holmes when her co-detectives called her name.
"Detective Jones, someone is looking for you," Detective Waltz said.
"Who—" she stops when she saw my smirking face. "What are you doing here?" she blurted at me like she doesn't like my presence in their office.
"I'm submitting myself," a sarcastic tone came out of my mouth.
Lindsay frowned and looked at me grimly. "Sorry, did you come here to annoy me because I went to your place to investigate?" she guessed.
I laughed in amusement at what Detective Jones said.
"Hey, I came here because I need your help," I quickly replied. Detective Jones never fails to make me smile, her beautiful face enlightened my life.
What do people think, I was a happy person because I have money but money can't buy happiness. I feel so lonely despite having a twin, but it seems like it was a curse having him.
"You need my help?" Detective Jones said that it wasn't a serious matter for me to seek help.
"Yes," I answered seriously to emphasize that I am seriously asking her for help.
She looks at me still, "Okay, what kind of help do you want from me. I am telling you now, I don't believe in ghosts," she firmly said.
I can't help myself not to laugh at what I heard from Detective Jones, I never thought she will listen to what I said yesterday.
"Oh well, how about my twin?" I asked. I want her to believe that my twin is a ghost, I want him to get rid.
"How about your twin? Look, Mr. Sanchez, I have a lot of work to do as you can see, I don't have time for such a prank or joke," Detective Jones insisted avoiding doing me a favor.
She tries to get rid of me but I quickly grabbed her arm. She looks at my hands holding her tightly.
"I'm sorry," I apologize. "Listen, Detective Jones, I badly needed your help," I seriously told her looking straight into her eyes.
After a few seconds of intensified staring at each other, she finally agreed.
"Okay, so, tell me about your twin?" she asked.
I smiled and seat in front of her desk, preparing a long story to tell about my shadow twin.
It's been 5 minutes passed but I never start to talk so Detective Jones think I wasn't serious again.
She sat on her swivel chair and tap her forehead. "You know what Mr. Sanchez, I don't have time to play with you. If it's about Mr. Holmes's complaint, you have nothing to worry about because I've seen nothing in your place, there is no construction going on," she said as she keep scanning the papers on her desk.
I was busy watching her when she look at me. She quickly frowned as our eyes meet again, she seems to get bored being with me around.
"Mr. Sanchez, can you stop looking at me," Lindsay finally gets irritated by watching her moves.
"I can't resist, you're too beautiful," I mumbled.
She sniffed then stood up. "You know where the way out is," she finally pissed off pointing to the direction of their office exit.
"Hey, relax," I said to calm her down.
Some of her co-workers were looking in their direction, they might see the tension between us but I keep smiling at her.
"Listen, Mr. Sanchez, I don't have time to play for you, so, please leave now," a lower but grinding voice Detective Jones.
"I will leave if you promise to help me." I want her to promise that she will help to get rid of my twin. It sounds like a criminal but I wanted to get rid of him before he will be worsened.
I know that Detective Jones was getting frustrated about me being so mean but I need her help.
"If it's about your twin, do you think I can help, you might need a paranormal expert, not me," Detective Jones sarcastically said.
"I did but they did not help me, they just want my money," I replied and wink at her.
"Stop doing that!" she's so annoyed.
"Are you affected?" I am teasing her when she pouted her lip.
"Do you need my help or you keep continue annoying me!" she almost shouted in my ear.
"Shhh!" I hissed because we might disturb her co-worker or think I was doing something wrong to her.
"Leave now!" Detective Jones started to lose her temper.
"Promise to help me first," I said.
"How could I help you if you're not serious about it," Detective Jones furiously said.
"I'm serious but you think I am kidding," I calmly answered. "I am telling you the truth, Detective Jones, if you want a prove then come to Lake Park tomorrow night, wait, let me check if it is a full moon," I said then immediately scan my phone and It was a full moon, perfect timing to prove to her that my shadow twin was real and not a myth.
Detective Jones was looking at me with disbelief on her face.
"Are you coming or not?" I asked.
"I will try," she hesitantly said.
"I told you, I am harmless if you want you can tell your friends or family where you gonna go but never bring one with you," I warned her, I don't want them to freak out when they learn that the founder and CEO of Glamour Cosmetic have a shadow twin.
I saw on her face that she doubts what I said but I am hoping that she could take a risk of coming tomorrow night.
"I assure you that you will be fine, Detective Jones, don't tell me you're afraid?" teasing her.
"I don't, don't worry, Mr. Sanchez, I'll see you tomorrow night. I think that you might not waste your time coming here just to say no sense," Lindsay said which makes me smile. She might realize that I am a very person and won't waste time.
"Exactly, Miss Jones," I quickly replied when she look at me like I did something wrong. "Yes, is there something wrong, Detective Jones?" I repeatedly asked.
Lindsay immediately sways her head and keeps herself busy on her desk before Mr. Sanchez notices that she starts getting uneasy at his presence.
