“You did what?!!” Audrey exclaimed loudly, and I held my forehead, taking in a deep sigh.
“It’s not like I had any choice.”
“But-” Audrey starts but stops when she sees my face. “Oh God Ari. This is a very huge mess.”
“I know, I know.” I poured myself a full cup of red wine, but Audrey snatches it before I can drink.
“You shouldn’t be drinking right now.”
“Give that to me.” I stretch out my hand to her and I’m surprised when she immediately lifts the cup to her mouth and gulped down everything.
Oww… that was supposed to be mine. I guess we’ll both be getting drunk tonight.
I don’t bother to be elegant or cool in this large bar where people might be watching, I took the bottle of wine and drank directly from it. It burned so bad but it feels so good.
