Brielle's POV
I opened my eyes to the little sunlight escaping from the curtain covering the windows.
I stretched and yawned before standing up to open the curtains as I let in the sunlight.
I stretched once more and smiled at the wonderful start of the day.
I washed and brushed my teeth as I heat up some water for my morning drink in my pajamas.
Thank ghad I brought some matcha with me.
Coffee would be nice too but I can't really have it often.
After my little morning rinse, I decided to take a few photos of my first morning out of probably more than 1825 mornings in a completely different country.
I'll probably post it later after the video of me letting everyone know about me moving overseas is uploaded.
After my little photo moment, I mixed up some matcha for myself and opened my socials.
I first messaged my mom and then Aia and my sister. They were probably at work and at school.
I also immediately called my friend who I'll meet up with later since she was helping me find an apartment. Her name is Sophie.
She was my first roommate in the first university I went to here when I first had my summer class.
Despite the distance, we were able to keep our friendship throughout the years. She's quite the keeper and I'm so thankful for her.
Sophie picked up almost immediately.
"Hey, beautiful~" I greeted her on the other line. She chuckled.
"Goodmorning. Did you just wake up?"
"I did just wake up. I arrived here around 3 in the morning" I said and took a sip of my matcha drink.
"You should've slept more, dummy"
"Can't. We have a date, remember?" I kid.
She laughed.
"Have you had lunch?"
"Nope. Have you?" I asked.
I almost forgot it was literally 12pm.
"Not yet. Do you want to meet now for lunch?"
"Of course I'd love to! Give me like an hour. I need a shower before I go out" I said and immediately walked to my suitcase to get an outfit.
"Okay. Let's meet in a nearby restaurant. I'll send you the location"
"Okay gotchu! Bye! Mwa!" I said as I picked out an outfit.
"Bye"
I finished up my drink and got into the shower to freshen up.
Hopefully, the mild jetlag subsides too.
After the shower, I blow dried my hair and styled it a bit.
I wore a heattech top inside my white long sleeved knitted turtleneck top, a pair of black jeans on top of heattech leggings, a black puffed jacket and some white chunks.
I need to wear heattech clothing since it's winter or else I might get sick since I'm not yet used to the weather here.
Then, I brought a white purse with some of my stuff. I was dressed up warmly since this is the first time I'm experiencing winter.
It was so exciting.
I went outside my accommodation and walked to the location Sophie sent me.
After walking for a few minutes, I arrived at a restaurant and entered the restaurant when I saw Sophie from outside.
She saw me as soon as I walked in and I excitedly walked to her and gave her a hug as she stood up to greet me.
"I missed you so much!" I told her while hugging her tightly.
She chuckled and hugged me back tightly.
"I missed you too" she said as we broke the hug.
We sat across each other and I removed my jacket to hang it on the seat beside me and put my purse beside me as well.
I set up my monopod and camera beside us too.
"I'm filming right now. Is it okay with you?" I asked for her consent.
She chuckled and nodded.
"It's nothing new to me when I'm with you, you know. We've been friends for a while. I even watched the majority of your videos" she said.
I smiled and giggled. True. I always recorded my experiences and this is one of them.
I like recording special moments in my life. It's something I look back on from time to time.
We both ordered lunch. We ordered hot pot to share with each other.
"How's your accommodation right now?" Sophie started the conversation.
"It's really good, don't worry. I have all I need for my stay until I find and move to my soon to be place.
"That's good. You don't have groceries yet right?" she asked.
I nodded.
"Yeah. I'll probably buy some later. Do you want to come?" I asked her.
She raised a brow at me.
"Were you not planning to take me with you?" she said.
I chuckled.
"Of course I did but I still wanted to ask you since you might be busy" I said chuckling.
She chuckled with a smile.
"So, how have you been?" I asked her.
The last time we met was July which was a few months ago when I finished my second summer class.
It's already January.
"Well, I moved to a different company a few months ago and I'm actually doing much better in it than when I was in my old company. I also get paid better so that's really nice. Everything's been great" she answered.
I nodded.
Good for her.
"How's the love life going though?" I teased her.
She rolled her eyes at me.
"I haven't even attended a blind date since I started my job because I was super busy. My flirting skills are getting rusty" she said.
I laughed.
She was the best at setting up blind dates and attending them too.
"How about you?" she asked back.
"What about me?" I asked innocently.
"How are you doing with Damian? You didn't tell him about you moving here, right?" she asked.
I nodded.
Damian is another one of the first people I met while I had my summer class. He's also a close friend. We were in the same class together.
"I didn't tell anyone else but you. I'll tell the others after I find a place. We can eat out then" I told her.
She looked at me waiting for more answers.
"What?" I asked innocently.
"You didn't answer the first question" she told me. I sighed.
"Damian is a really nice guy. He's also very attractive, I'll give you that. But right now isn't a very good time for me to be in a relationship" I explained.
She gave me the look.
"And why not?" she asked me.
"I still have so much to learn, to do, to achieve and everything. I wouldn't have time to look after a specific someone right now" I explained more.
She shook her head.
"No. This is actually the perfect time to be in a relationship because one, you'll have someone to lean on during this big change in your life. Two, you'll be the one to be looked after. Three, you'll be able to balance your personal life with work" she tried convincing me.
"Oh please. I can do just fine on my own. I've been doing it for years. I don't need a man right now" I insisted.
"You simply just don't want one right now" she stated.
Bingo.
"Exactly" I said.
Sophie sighed.
"Whatever. We'll see what happens when you start working with Damian. You shouldn't forget that you guys are in the same company. His dad's company to be exact" she said with a smirk.
I sighed.
A few months ago, after I finished my summer class, I started applying for different companies that I think I can qualify in so I can see where I'd be accepted to.
Then, Damian introduced me and our friends to his dad and I was quickly set up with his dad's company.
As it turns out, his dad has known me for quite a while that time because Damian talked about me with him.
I didn't seriously consider his dad's company since I didn't want to take advantage of him and his family knowing how he felt about me but his dad's company was the place to be in that time.
It had a good work space, an excellent position and pay too.
I didn't come here to just live my dream life, I came here to work for my family's needs and save up for the future.
I accepted the offer but I also made sure to clarify things about me and Damian's nonexistent relationship.
I promised to do my best for my position and be worthy of it.
His father understood that and as soon as I got my board results, I flew to Korea to start my job as the production manager in their company.
Being a production manager as a first job is a very big deal but I was given the opportunity because I had really good credentials.
Mr. Lewis was also convinced that I'm more than just his son's love pursuit so he took me in.
"We're in different departments so that's unlikely" I told her.
She just shrugged.
"I'm sure he'll find a way to get closer to you and see you as much as possible. You know how he is. That guy is head over heels for you" she said.
I agreed. He's really persistent.
We talked about other things while we finished our lunch. We caught up with each other's personal life as much as we could. When we finished, we immediately went to the area close to the company I'll be working in to find nearby apartments.
I filmed the whole apartment hunting experience.
We looked into 4 apartments for the day and called it quits.
There were a two that I considered and two that I didn't. The rents were all below $1000 and the deposit was around $10,000 like I had in mind but the two I didn't consider looked old and I wasn't going to settle for that. The two that I considered were not my taste but its still pretty good.
Still, we'll have a part two of the hunt.
I need and want a place where I'll feel at home in since it will be my home for a very long time.
We went back to the area where I had rented my accommodation and went grocery shopping.
I bought stuff that would last me until I could move into my soon to be apartment that I still need to find.
We finished grocery shopping and arrived at my accommodation before 6pm.
Sophie flopped down my bed as I emptied the grocery bag.
It was still too early to have dinner since we had late lunch so I decided to take a walk.
I wore my padded jacket, brought my phone, my transportation card a few bills just in case I need it.
I also left a note for Sophie for when she wakes up from her nap.
After minutes of walking, I found myself in front of the BH Entertainment building.
I remember walking here every day for two weeks when we went on a vacation after our 3rd year in college. I was with Aia, Cess, Mimah and another friend of Cess'.
I intentionally picked a place that's walking distance from here then and now.
I took a couple of pictures of myself and just browsed through my phone as I stood near the building.
I opened my YT account to see that the video of me telling everyone about me moving overseas for work has already been uploaded.
I briefly looked into the comments.
"We're going to miss you so much..."
"Please be careful there, Brie. We love you!"
"Fighting! We'll support you till the end, babe! Ily!"
"You're so brave for this. I hope the best for you and I hope you achieve your goals! Go girl!"
Most of them were encouraging messages. There were a few negative ones but I ignored it. I've been doing YT for years now and if a single negative comment gets to me, I won't be able to do what I had to do.
I spent years into improving myself for myself and for the people who I can help and I wasn't going to let someone just drag me down after all that. I knew I was more than that.
Babe calling...
I chuckled at the sudden call from my bestfriend Aia. I had purposely saved her number as babe in case I needed help from avoiding anyone.
"Hey, babes. What's up?" I greeted her with a smile.
"Just got home from work. What are you up to?"
"I finished day one of apartment hunting. I looked into 4 places but none of them made me want to settle so hopefully tomorrow will be better and I'll find a place" I told her
"Okiii btw were you able to meet your friend?"
"Yeah. She's at my place right now while I'm out" I said.
"Out? You? Why and where?"
"I just took a walk after we got back from grocery shopping. I'm in front of the BH Entertainment building right now. Look" I said and I momentarily opened the camera extended my arms for a wider view for her to see the building behind me.
"Girl. You better go back to your place now before you get accused of being a stalker"
"My feet brought me here and it's not like I'm any harm to anyone. I'm literally just standing here minding my own business" I pouted.
BH Entertainment is the agency where my favorite artists and bands are in.
"I don't believe you, you creep"
My bestfriend kept teasing.
"Oh please. My favorite bands could come out from that door, pass by me and I'd stay completely still" I told her and that exact moment...
A familiar tall looking man with black hair, unique pair of eyes wearing a white turtleneck top inside of a black coat with a black scarf paired with black pants, filas and a mask.
I froze in place as my head followed the familiar man walking away from where I stood. I was speechless as my heart raced.
"Hello? Hello?! Why are you not answering?! Yo! Brielle!"
I snapped back to reality.
"H-hello?" I stuttered
"Are you okay? Why weren't you answering me?"
"I--I think I--" I was still in a daze.
"You think you what?"
"I think I just saw....Theodore. As in, the Theodore King"
