Chapter 31

Six Months later

Annalisa’s POV

A lot has happened in the last six months. After four months of training, Trevor and Aunt Opal began training me in elite training, which included stealth techniques and weapons training. Teresa also added pilot training. For the last six months my life is school and training. My schedule is still the same; I do my run in the morning, then warrior training, then schoolwork, then lunch. After lunch, I have my individual training with Thane, then Trevor or Aunt Opal. Wednesdays are still Alpha training with Uncle Derrick and Thane and Theresa still comes on Saturdays when she can. I have done all the training, I just need to get my hours to get my license. Trevor and Aunt Opal are both working on my elite training-which includes stealth, weapons and different hand-to-hand methods. Aunt Opal is teaching me the skills as a female. How to use my size and flexibility to my advantage.

Next week I go to Full Moon pack for true elite training and testing. Most trainees are there for 3–4 months, before they test. Since I have been trained by Aunt Opal and Trevor, Alpha Xander is willing to give me an abbreviated training and test me early. I have dedicated my life to this since having the baby. I hope I pass and accomplish the goal The Goddess requested of me.

Lucia delivered her baby boy about a month after I delivered. His name is Luc Thomas Range. Luckily, he looks more like her than those other people. He does have Blake’s green eyes, like Lawrence, but that’s all. That also tells us that he is Blakes because he gets his eyes from his mother. Alpha Clarence’s eyes are brown. The rest of his features are Lucia’s, his caramel skin, brown hair and round eyes. Lucia and Trevor finally marked and mated, and she is doing better with her PTSD. He has been good for her. He has patience and provides the security that she needs. They are a really cute couple with two babies. She started nursing school through the local college and is slowly coming out of her shell.

Dark Hollow did try to kidnap her again but was stopped at the border. She doesn’t even know about it. At that time, Ben, Blake’s friend and Gamma was part of the team. He barely survived the interrogation but gave us a lot of information. Uncle Derrick allowed me to kill him. It was priceless seeing his face when I walked into the interrogation room. I let Ruby take over, and she ripped his heart out. He was my first kill, not my last. I thought I would feel bad about it, but I didn’t. Men like him don’t deserve to live.

Blake’s POV

How do I tell this man I f****d up again? I tried to send another team to get Lucia and the baby, but it’s been a week and no one had returned. I even lost my Gamma this time. Ben was an orphan; my dad didn’t like him at first, but he had a twisted mind like the rest of us. When he saw him fight and train even before he got his wolf, dad changed his mind. When his wolf came, and he became even fiercer, dad told me to make him my Gamma. The night we had Anna was our first time doing something like that. But we all enjoyed it and have done it to other orphans and omegas. Now who am I going to pick as a Gamma? I don’t know why I am concerned; he is never going to pass the pack to me. He will never give up being Alpha. Since I turned 18, I have been contemplating challenging him for the position. I know I can beat my dad in a fight, but something keeps holding me back. Will the other Alpha’s and participants in our business deal with me if I remove my dad? How will I take care of the pack? Will the warriors listen to me? These are the questions that stop me from challenging him. I go to his office and walked in on him f*****g an omega. I sit down and wait my turn as usual. For others, this would be weird or awkward, but we have shared women since I was 15. It’s just the norm for us

“What Blake?”

“The mission was a failure. We didn’t get Lucia or the baby. None of the guys came back, not even Ben”

“Are you f*****g kidding me?” he growls

He is mad. He grabs the girls’ hips digging his claws in and starts pumping harder. She starts screaming in pain. You would think this would make him come faster, but he is so focused on his anger it actually delays his orgasm. He f***s her like that for another 15 minutes. She passes out at some point and wakes back up crying. He finally comes and steps away from her, fixing himself. The omega starts to move as I put my hand on her back

“Oh no little omega. We are not done with you yet. It’s my turn” I say softly to her

I flip her around and ram into her. I take her hard and fast, getting out all my anger and aggression. When I feel my orgasm building, so does my anger, I put my hands around the omega’s throat and pound into her as she cries. I think about Lucia getting away with my baby, my dad not making me Alpha, Crystal Lake torturing my Gamma and where the f**k is Anna? When I come, I look down and see that she is not moving. Either I snapped her neck or choked her during my orgasm. I usually choke women when I come but this is the first time I’ve killed them.

“She’s dead dad” I say, hesitantly

“Just call Campbell and tell him to pick her up. I don’t care” he replies with no regard

I pull out and fix myself. I link Dr Campbell to come get the girl's body. He came without hesitation and asked no questions. I guess this is not the first time this has happened.

“I’m going to get the Elders involved regarding Lucia. That baby belongs here”

“What if she tells them how she got pregnant?”

“I will tell them you are her mate and she ran away after you had an argument. I want both of them. She deserves to be punished” he comments

“I want to go visit other packs and try to find my mate” I say

“For what? Don’t you have enough p***y around here? Why do you need a mate?” he asks

“I figured you wanted me to have one before you made me Alpha” I said, trying to gauge his feelings about this

“You are not ready to be Alpha. And I am not ready to give up the position. If you want a mate, go get one, I don’t care, but that has nothing to do with me passing down the Alpha title” he says

“So, I’ll never be Alpha?” I question

“I didn’t say never, just not right now. That reminds me, I have a job for you. We need to increase our pack numbers. If our numbers keep dropping, the Elder council will start to question and the few we bribe won’t be able to cover for us. So, I need you to go to recruit some rogues”

“Do you care if they are male or female” I ask

“More female than male if you can. We have a few females who will be having babies soon, so I need females who can have children and men to impregnate them. No feral rogues, they are too hard to handle” he says

“If you get a few young ones for the next shipment, that would help” he adds as I leave the office

At least now I know for sure. I will never be Alpha unless I challenge him. At least I don’t need to worry about getting a mate. f*****g the same woman every night is not an option for me and I doubt any woman will be okay with me wetting my d**k anywhere I want. I will also have to break her into submission and that is just too much work right now.

Xander’s POV

Finally, I have a meeting with the King. It has been almost a year since Alpha Derrick and I have been discussing the Elder Council and the corruption within it, thus allowing them to manipulate and control the King. King Nicholas has been in power for four years now. His father and mother were killed, and he took over at the age of 16. He was not ready; we all knew that. He never took his responsibility as the heir to the throne seriously. The council stepping in to guide and help him was expected but, them taking over was not. No one has seen Nicholas in the four years since he became King. No decrees, no public appearances, no new laws, nothing. It’s as if he doesn’t exist. For those like myself and Derrick, we wonder if he is still alive or what they have done to him.

For me, his well-being is important. What most don’t know is that Nicholas is my cousin. His grandmother and my grandmother are step-sisters. Their parents did not join until later in life, when the sisters had already established their own lives and became Luna’s of their own packs. They did not live close, so we did not visit often. We communicated a lot and once a year we have a family vacation on his family island. Nicholas and I were actually very close and started college together. He dropped out after a year when Uncle Ryan was killed, and he had to take over. So, in addition to wanting to know what is going on with the werewolf King. I want to know that my cousin is okay.

Alpha Derrick and his family are coming today to witness Annalisa go through the elite training test. I have watched that girl during the time she was here, and she is impressive. Her hand-to-hand skills are on point, and she excels in weapons knowledge and skill. Her specialty is small knives. Her aim and swiftness is comparable to Opal’s, who held the record until last week when Annalisa broke it. The fact that she has only been training for six months makes all of this even more impressive. I know she is focused, and I feel so sorry for whomever goes up against her.

I plan to have a meeting with Derrick and Thane when they come. Thane will be taking over the pack next month, since he is now twenty and has his mate. Unfortunately, his Gamma Gregory, nor Beta Brian have found their mates yet. I think Annalisa should be part of this meeting too. I think our concern about the Elder Council’s corruption and the manipulation of the King may be part of the Dark Hollow issue. Taking down one will open a can of worms that will lead to the other. If she is going after Dark Hollow, I think we should bring her in regarding the other stuff too.
