Sam shoved me down to the floor and crossed his arms at Dean, "why did you let her come here?"
"Look, she was injured and she needed medical attention. Why are you acting like this?" He said, I stood up and used every ounce of my strength not to attack Sam's sorry ass.
"She isn't what you think, why can't you just believe me for once! I'm trying to protect my kids and wife but I can't do that when you won't listen to me. No disrespect, but I'm not that stupid teen I was. Ever since I've had kids and gotten married I've matured, why can't you please just see that and listen to me! She is bad news!" He complained.
So nobody listens to him, huh? This will be easier than I thought.
When Sam received silence, he frowned deeply, "fine, but don't expect me to welcome her."
With that, he turned and snarled at me then walked away.
"I'm sorry for that," Dean broke the silence, "he's just been a little messed up since he was attacked. Did you need anything?"
I stared, analyzing him before replying, "I needed somewhere to stay for a few days... but judging by his reaction it's a no. I'm sorry for bothering."
"Don't listen to him, he'll come around. He's stubborn. You can stay as long as you want, pick any of the guest rooms down the hall."
I smiled at him, "thank you."
He gave a nod and went back to his computer, but right before I left the room he stopped me.
"Wait, ma'am, I'll need to check your records. I almost forgot, it's mandatory."
I felt my heart skip a beat, hell no. This will ruin everything!
"Miranda Sears," I said, that was my fake identity. It's covering up my real one with innocent actions and no history for violence and murder.
I watched Dean scrolling through his computer and eyeing the screen, it didn't bother me because I've used this tactic in other packs.
I know it works.
"Clever," he said to himself, looking up at me and raising a brow, "you're safe to go now. I'd watch out for Sam, he's a hard one to crack."
I gave him a fake smile then left the room, my face going back to a stone cold state when he was no longer in sight.
So far so good, it's easy but Sam is going to become a problem sooner or later.
I'll have to get rid of him.
I began walking down the hall but the moment I turned the corner I rammed into someone.
"Watch where you're going you stupid f*****g-" I cut myself off when I saw who it was.
Why it was Alexis' brother himself, staring down at me with the same look he gave me when I first met him.
*Flashback*
"You're Raven, aren't you?" He asked, staring down at me like I was the strangest thing he's ever seen.
I nodded, surprised someone like him would be speaking to me. He was so popular and I was so not! He was never mean to me but he was never nice either, he would just act like I was some ordinary person that just seemed like an asshole. He'd stare here and there but never make me feel sick inside.
"I wanted to tell you, though we don't talk, I find you quite cute," he smiled warmly at me.
I almost choked when he said that, my eyes went wide and his smile faltered slightly.
"What?" He questioned.
*End Of Flashback*
I was suddenly pulled back to reality when he spoke up, his voice was deeper than the last time I saw him.
It was almost like he was struggling, not for his life but for what seems to be his mental state.
"Who the hell are you? Why are you in here?" He snarled, shoving me back and I stumbled.
Woah, okay. Totally not the same Jacob I once knew.
He used to be so open, caring, smiley. He never had this glint in his eyes...
"Answer me!" He barked, shoving me back again and I was just shocked to say the least.
What happened to this man...
"I'll tear you apart if you don't-" he began, snarling, as he grabbed my shirt and pulled me toward him.
Someone pulled him away from me, staring him down and he glared at them
It was Sam.
He saved me?
They stared at each other, I watched in silence as Jacob looked at Sam with a murderous glint in his eyes.
No words were exchanged and the next thing I knew Jacob engulfed Sam into a big hug.
"They're all dead," he whimpered, Sam squeezed him back and I felt a tiny prick in my heart.
"You'll be okay, it wasn't your fault," he said to Jacob.
"I'll make them pay," he sniffled, "they took everything from me! My mother! My father! My own f*****g sister! My damned mate! EVERYTHING! I'll find them and I'll f*****g ruin them! I never deserved this! I was a great kid, one of the best!"
He screamed out, I swear everyone in this damn house heard him. The pain was clear in his voice and I stared at him.
He was suffering, that's what the difference between then and now is.
