"It all leads to him Alpha, with all do respect but until proven otherwise he's charged as guilty," I told him, he sighed.
"I know he's been hard on you, trust me I had to deal with him when his first mate rejected him, but he isn't a bad guy. I know Sam and he would never even think about hurting anyone. When he spiraled out of control and hit his ex mate, he was devastated. He's one of the nicest and nonviolent people I know, he would try to avoid violence no matter what. He wouldn't do this."
Why is he so set on denying the proof? He must be determined to keep Sam safe.
"Why are you denying it? All proof points to him, why would you let the guy who hurt your son go free without charge?"
Dean snarled at my sentence, but it was silent after.
"I can't believe I'm about to do this..." he said lowly, his eyes fogging over and minutes later two warriors came in holding Sam.
"I didn't do this! I swear to you! Why would I hurt your family? You're my family too, I wouldn't do this!" He pleaded, struggling against the two men.
"I want to believe you didn't, I know you wouldn't do this... but all proof comes back telling me you're the only one who touched the knife."
"You're making a mistake!" He said, sounding desperate, "I have too many things to lose, you can't do me like this! Dean, I've known you your whole life- I watched you and your brother grow up- do you think I would do that?" He ripped himself away from the warriors and they yanked him back.
"No, Sam, I don't think you would do this... but who am I to risk it when right now all evidence says you did it..." he paused, "I'm sorry, I really am."
Sam's face went pale and he looked frantic, "please don't, you don't want to do this. Dean-"
"Take him away," he cut Sam short.
"No! This is a mistake! I swear to you-" he wailed, being dragged off by the two warriors until he was no longer heard because the door shut behind them.
"I can't believe you did that, I'm shocked you had it in you. I saw how badly that hurt, sending away your best friend almost. He was there since you were born and you ruthlessly just locked him up all alone in a cold-"
"Shut the f**k up Miranda!" He snapped at me, his voice sent a chill down my spine but I swallowed and lifted my head up confidently.
"My apologies, Alpha," I said, he gave me a harsh stare.
It made me uncomfortable, almost like he was trying to read me.
"What's your game?" He demanded, I felt myself stiffen.
When I didn't reply he slammed his fists on his desk and growled at me, "answer me! What's your game?!"
Is he onto me? Oh god, what if he figures me out-
"You're not who you say you are! First, randomly showing up with a fresh wound when there's nobody around this pack! Then, suddenly Sam acts up when he sees you? There's something off about you! Now tell me, who are you really?" He snarled, I was quite surprised he caught on so fast.
"I-"
He cut me off when he grabbed me by my throat and pulled my face to his, I felt a weird feeling in my female parts and I rubbed my thighs together.
He's so hostile, it's sexy and a total turn on.
I may be old enough to be his mother but hot damn.
"Start talking, now," he glared, he seemed very angry and it only added to my weird feeling.
I like him, he's nothing I expected.
"Why talk when we can just do this?" I asked, his anger turned into confusion and I gripped his shirt and pulled his lips down on mine.
It was the moment our lips collided when he shoved me back violently, he gave me a look of pure horror but also rage.
"What- you- no!" He snapped, his eyes fogging over and suddenly Chris ran in seconds later.
"You needed me?" Chris asked, his eyes never glancing my direction.
"She kissed me," he said out of breath, but it wasn't the good kind. He was clearly pissed.
That's when Chris' attention slowly turned to me, we locked eyes and he looked me up in down with disgust, "you cougar! You're like sixty and he's like twenty something."
I scowled, "I'm not that old."
He stifled a laugh, "oh, I'm sure. Judging by that makeup you have a lot of wrinkles."
I was about to say something harsh but Dean getting up prevented anything from leaving my mouth.
"I'll leave you two at it, I'm gonna find my mate," he glared daggers at me while putting emphasis on 'mate.'
When it was just me and Chris, he ran over to me and pulled up a chair directly across from me.
"Okay, this will be quick and painless, I promise," he smiled widely at me.
"Wait, wha-"
I was cut off by a fist to my face then I was out like a light.
