Chris' POV
I was just laying there, unmoving on the hospital bed. Was I dead? Why can I see myself? It was almost like I was in third person, but I went unnoticed by everyone around me.
My mate was by my side, holding my hand and crying silently. I wanted nothing more than to comfort her but I knew I couldn't, my body was unconscious and my soul is here; unnoticed by everyone.
I stared at myself, I had dried blood on my shirt, an oxygen mask on, and a bunch of wires inside of me like I was a string puppet. I glanced over at the heart monitor, it was beeping steadily and that's where I got confused.
I'm alive, but why can I wander around like some invisible person?
